They had a better chance of winning the league 2yrs ago...they were 2 games away from winning it until Gerrard slipped

Exactly....money talks...and if we're talking about £70m for Griezmann (minimum)...and £80m+ for PEA, I'd definitely put £50m+ on the table for Coutinho. He'd be perfect under Pep...and we have Fernando, Fernandinho and his pal, Gabriel Jesus coming in January.

For me, he's as good as Hazard, potentially better....with his goals and assists at his age.

I agree he'd be a good signing. Sterling left dipperland when they wanted the money and he'd fallen out with the club. They don't need the money anymore as so much is coming everyone's way. They'll want to keep hold of their best players so we'd have no chance at £50M.

I'm not sure that LFC needed the money - they'd got £60m for Suarez the season before.

They offered Sterling £100k pw...they were hardly short of cash.

It just developed into bad blood when Rogers came out and told the press about what they had offered him....and it snowballed from there.

I think Barca will definitely come sniffing - the only saving grace for LFC, is that Coutinho doesn't have a buyout clause.

I reckon if Liverpool even entertained an enquiry for him, which they wont, they would be asking silly money around £80m or more. Everton did the same with players they sold us, inflated the value of the players to rip us off but at least Coutinho would be worth it. I'd rather we jumped in for him than Chelsea, Spuds or the rags that would be really annoying.
