Can these fuckwits not learn the names of our players? They've probably been in Manchester since last night FFS!

YEAH, after the 100 mile an hour first half, it's all gone a bit flat. Get Sergio and Foden on!

Zaba's been a bit of a passenger this half...maybe bring him off for Foden.

Get a couple of kids on. At east they'll try to impress and inject some urgency

Should've shot....Pep needs to tell him, shooooot! It's like he wants to play for his team mates, rather than score.

Been impressed with Sane, but Navas on now tell me what that gives us now?

Liked the kids in but not sure what harm proper defence would have been, we need match practice as a 3 if that is the preferred formation now.

Shit.....the only player I'd bring back is Stones. Play Stones, Yoyo and Sagna in a back 3 if that's the way he wants to go.
Thought Gundogan looked very sharp tonight...some over-ambitious balls, but still, the best I've seen him this season on the ball dictating play.
Navas, agree...a bit pointless unless you don't want to concede.
Sane showed some excellent glimpses - but Pep needs to tell him to be greedy.....it looked like he always wanted to assist a teammate tonight.
Yoyo did well overall....
Shame we didn't see the kid get 2 mins at the end.....
Hope that's a kick in the teeth for Aguero - made to warm up and then not brought on....he needs to go away and take a long-hard look at himself. Selfish, stupid behaviour - but good to see Kelechi pop up with a cracker.
Overall, great 1st half, 2nd half was a bit of a let down....though TBF, thought Celtic knocked it around pretty well.

Didn't realise that about Sergio. He's overly selfish too often and doesn't think about the team enough. When you only have one top class striker, you really can't afford him to be sent off twice and we are only at the beginning of December. At least he shouldn't be sent off again this month...

Not sure if the seniors would have done a great deal better the way theyve been playing recently. Thought Sagna did pretty good and Gundogan was sharp as u say Blue. Much prefer Nolito to Navas Should have had a goal but was a millimetre offside. You wouldn't even think of Navas being near to scoring a goal
The usual fucking about at the back cost us our obligatory gift to the opposition and we could easily have been 2 down after 5 mins for the same reason
Peps playing football from the back is just not practical when the players we have aren't up to it

Nail hit on the head Tony. The players aren't good enough to play out from the back. Pep is keeping on at this and it aint working. Most teams have a mix of playing out when safe and booting long when not. We should do the same.

Re: City v Celtic - Live Thread
Trouble is Dawg any manager worth his salt knows what we are trying to do & knows our defence is crap so they get the forwards and MF to press us more. Because the defence & GK are not up to Peps normal standards (Barca & BM) they panic and mistakes are made
I worry every time our defence try and play the ball from the back when teams press us. A good fuckin hoof up front when necessary is a far safer option sometimes

That and Fernando had the control of a brick wall last night, meant no close control when it was played into him from the back.

better players suck the opposition in and then hit then on the break. We do do that sometimes, especially early in the season, but it seems teams have wised up to us.
