FA cup - Palace vs City
Palace have been struggling, even with BFS at the helm. We've got to go there and turn it on like we did against Spurs. Like we have to do in all our remaining games. I'm not sure he'll start with Gabby and I think it's time for VK to get a run out again.
Will Sane start again?

Re: FA cup - Palace vs City
I think even with Nolito and Navas alongside Kelechi we should win this.
So long as the players have the right attitude.
It might be last good chance of silverware fro this season so would rather see a stronger team out. Although maybe give Yoyo and Garcia a run out?

I nearly always say go with your strongest team.
Get some togetherness going and get that winning feeling. We've got some very important games coming up (Hammers away, Monaco in the CL etc.) so I want us hot and firing, if possible, before then.

I'd like to see Gabriel, Delph and Vinny get starts.

Pep can pick whoever he likes so long as they bust their balls from minute one.

Willy
Stones, Vinny, Kolorov
Zaba, Silva, TLMLF, KDB
Sane, Aguero, Gabriel
I'd give Sterling a rest and drop him to the bench.

Nope...I've said for weeks, we played our best football earlier in the season, with a 3 and Silva next to Fernandinho/TLMLF - and more out attack.

Re: FA cup - Palace vs City
go all out attack then. We don't really need 4 at the back as we are usually all over the opposition with so much possession. We just need to not leave ourselves wide open when we lose the ball. That's where nearly all our problems stem from.

Re: FA cup - Palace vs City
I think Silva sitting deeper starts the attacks quicker. Zaba can assist on the right with Sane, if defending is needed, KDB and Gabriel can assist on the left.
KDB and Silva can assist Gabriel, Aguero and Sane in attack....and we saw from the Spurs game, when we go all out attack, they rarely have the ball to attack with.
Palace aren't Spurs and with some height at the back to get stuck into any big balls to Benteke, we could go all out and win this game in the first half and give the likes of Silva and Aguero a rest and Garcia some game time.

Usual bullshit going on over here. Every match - Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool M Utd, Spuds being shown. City game is being shown on Tuesday FFS.

Well, I suppose it's nice to see the anti-City thing isn't restricted to our shores. Well, maybe "nice" isn't the right word... Do you get the pundits dishing out the anti-City rhetoric as well, Wensdi?

Re: FA cup - Palace vs City
True not on over here either. Is on Foxtel on City TV Tuesday Morning 01.00am. so will record the game but 3 days after the live game. I read on the BBC a couple of weeks ago had Bolton beaten palace in their 3rd round replay then it would have been on TV. Can't understand an all premier clash of which there are only 2 in this round doesn't get a look in over say Chelsea v Brentford?

Re: FA cup - Palace vs City
Hi everyone : Yeah Chelsea v Brentford will be a gripping game won't it. I can't say that the commentators on NBC Premier League games are biased or hateful though. Lee Dixon is a regular and when asked point blank by Arlo White if he wanted Arsenal or City to win - he answered (more or less) that he still has allegiance to City - and said he was besotted with our Kev (in a manly way of course). Arlo White and Graham Lesoux are regular commentators and Peter Drury. The only twat I can think of is Ian Darke. Jon Champion sounds a bit pompous at times and likes to talk about City being "expensively assembled" like the other teams all got free transfers from Tranmere Rovers. Robbie Mustoe and Robbie Earle are the football analysts before and after the game - and occasionally Warren Barton. Can't complain actually, we have excellent coverage for Prem games - but Fox covers FA Cup matches and they are very biased.

Re: FA cup - Palace vs City
We get the same commentators & I have to say I thought it was just me who seemed to think Champion went on about expensively assembled City. My wife thinks it is just me being sensitive & myopic to anything that appears to be anti City. We now get the prem on Optus sports so the personnel who do the punditry seemed to have changed, I Think we must get most of the British TV ones like Phil the red Neville Peter the red Schmeichel & Ryan the red Giggs. totally unbiased.

Don't start
I say all out attack with some fringe. Win or lose I'm not really bothered. I think Palace will field reserves, they have a lot more to worry about.

We said that about Wigan in the same competition in 2013. That didn't work out too well for usblisteringblue wrote:I say all out attack with some fringe. Win or lose I'm not really bothered. I think Palace will field reserves, they have a lot more to worry about.

Not a lot. We discussed some football, Bluey voiced some opinions in that meek way he does, someone uttered a rude word, everyone fell out for a bit, then everything went back to normal. Pretty much a normal month.Nijinsky wrote:Whats happend to this site?
