With the FA Cup waning, you have to look at those draws and think.....hmmmm.

Re: Nice draw because it's close...
Hmm very fishy No PL teams facing each other All the minnows getting a tasty tie with a nice pay check A more cynical person would think the teams were seeded
Still can't complain Good draw for us

Not the best draw for Lincoln, I'm sure they would prefer to be at home. And I don't think I will get a ticket, not with the gulf in points I have now...

Is it a 20% allocation again? Still only be a few thousand tickets.

Re: Nice draw because it's close...
It's a 24500 capacity, apparently. So if we get 20%, that'll be 4900 tickets. And I'm on the cup scheme, so I might even have a shot!

actually, it's only 15% (we had about 3,500 fans at palace for about 25,000 seater stadium).

Just shy of 8000. I came off Platinum a couple of years ago as it wasn't helping, but now I'm just even further off the pace.

Well, I've got even less than you. I've got just over 7,000 so I'll never catch up to be able to go to away matches.

Re: Nice draw because it's close...
It sucks, doesn't it? Last away game I went to was to was the swamp for the EFL and that was a bit of luck. Well, aside from the result, of course!

I forgot to buy my ticket fort the swamp, which was just as well.
Not being around much doesn't help my case either.

It'd be interesting to know how many points are needed to pretty much guarantee a ticket for most away matches.

Re: Nice draw because it's close...
Having looked in the past, you're looking at somewhere north of 16000 points. Last time I looked the starting point was 21000. Basically, you've got no chance until people start running out of money or dying.

When someone dies, doesn't the ticket get passed on to freinds or family?

Re: Nice draw because it's close...
I don't think so. You have to ask for it to be transferred, but I don't know if the points transfer with it.

What I mean is, people just keep on using it if they can. Just pay the money, no ID checks on away matches.

Re: Nice draw because it's close...
wasn't there a thing in the early 00's where there was a certian percentage of the crowd at Old Trafford who were technically deceased but familys just kept the tickets and paid so they didn't have to join the queue again?

There were big complaints about that down at the swamp.
There has to be a fairer way, just that no one has come up with it yet.

Only 3,700 tickets available...
https://www.mancity.com/news/tickets-and-travel/2017/02/03/huddersfield-town-v-man-city-fa-cup-tickets/1486122599211
An allocation goes to Seasonal Hospitality Supporters, Football Management, Players, Club Partners and the MCFC Supporters Club so there may not be too many left for actual supporters.
I don;t think you'll get a ticket from this process Leo.

Better sort out the memory MCM unless that is another 10 you are on about, in which case at 4 yrs your Junior I don't recall it. The only Halifax game I remember is when they were bottom of Div 4 And we went to them as a 1st div club in the FA cup 3rd rnd and lost 1-0 with Big Mal in charge 1979-80 I think?

Re: Nice draw because it's close...
Didn't we beat Huddersfield 10-1 in Div 2, 87 or 88?
I know Halifax have taken some big batterings in the past, but I don't recall us beating them by 10?

West Ham slapped 10 in against the Shakers in the cup mid 80s (Devonshire, Cottee, Brooking, Parkes, etc, etc)...we only lost the home leg 2-1 aswell.

Sorry, I don't get why Lincoln are on...if they were at home yes, but away no.....it's banker home win.
Tbh, I can understand why all the other games are on. I think the deciding game would have been Blackburn v Rags and Citys game.....and we had no chance in that 50-50 decision did we
