The FA are deservedly on the dock over the shitty way they have allowed players to be treated and their cover up of the appalling behaviour displayed by the sacked manager of the woman's team.

But i'd like to know why Eniloa accepted 80K of hush money.

Surely it's worth a discussion. I haven't been following this case closely enough to understand why she took the money.

no idea why she declined the opportunity to take part in the initial enquiry...

so the FA are now in the dock for not looking into it properly when she wouldn't help them??

Did they pay her off before or after the first enquiry?

I feel there is some economy of the truth on both sides here.

usually you get both sides of a story and the truth sits somewhere in the middle...

I think one of the points, is that the FA made her sign a contract that stated that they, the FA, weren't racist, before allowing the release of the money.

The hush money doesn't sit well with me, but neither does her approach to this. She could easily have taken the FA to court like the Chelsea doctor did against Mourinho and the club....and they ended up settling for a far greater amount.

It could all good be a good thing....it's about time the FA are exposed as a 'gentlemen's club' that is has been for decades.

New broom sweeps clean and all that.

As usual, with many arguements, most people sit in polarised camps.

The FA are a horrible bunch of (mainly) old twats. But, by taking the money, she has shown where he moral values lie.

"I hope your relatives( from Africa) dont bring Ebola to the game!"

Now i'm sure this was said in jest, you could argue that it was in poor taste but i bet they all laughed at the time including Aluko. She clearly then had issues with Samson after that, be it about selection or whatever, and she  decided to bring this charge. That's my interpretation of this matter, i can't believe he would blatantly racially abuse one of his players in front of others and expect to not be in a shit load of trouble. The incident at his previous job was not deemed serious enough for the FA to take any action over at the time or seen as an obstacle to him getting the England job. So why did they use that to sack him and not the racism claim by Aluko? I agree that the 3 FA chiefs have a case to answer for all their actions regarding Samson in both cases.

Bang on with those points MCM. They've already had two enquiries over the racist remarks and exonerated him. They already had the info on his 'misdemeanours' in his previous job. Actually, what he did with a player should have led to a very long ban in my opinion. If not sine die. You just cannot take advantage of people like that. It's a total abuse of power.

It's a fudge the way they got rid of him.

I agree MCM, I don't think he meant it in a racist way. Just an inappropriate joke after the effect.

I made an inappropriate joke this morning to my missus and a female friend of the family. I didn't intend to cause offence deliberately. It was just meant to be mildly humourous. But it fell flat on its arse. That happens with jokes sometimes.

He should have sincerely apologised and there was a chance it would have been accepted and everyone could move on.

Now it's led to his downfall and, most probably, several of the FA.

With the Harvey Weinstein affair, sexual abuse just about everywhere, political/corporate/institutional fraud/sexism/racism it just goes to show that power really does corrupt. There needs to be a massive change in humanity for anything to change

We're all DOOMED !

Agree with MCM here...im quite sure what Samson said was in jest or in other words training ground banter.
What he said was admittedly in poor taste, but in no way was it said in a racist way....and that's what the hearing concluded too, so i don't get how Aluko feels vindicated.

Where the FA and Samson went wrong was by not afmitting what was said at the beginning and trying to brush it inder the carpet.

Why Aluko accepted the £80k is strange....is she going to give it to charity?
