I'll put this in here rather than out on twitter as you've paid no attention on there.

Please go through and copy and paste all your tweets from yesterday (100+ or whatever there is), have a good long read through them, and irrespective of what anybody has replied or forwarded, tell me honestly is that what you want to be as a an online presence.

It is bordering on bullying the young chap, and some of the replies seem to be adding insults in where none have been thrown regardless. He should be due an apology.

I'd give serious through to deleting your entire days tweets barring the videos.

In my eyes it honestly shows you 2 in a bad light yesterday. 
You don't need to try and make some false online outrage for what are in large good video's doing the right thing.

Just saw this so apologies for not replying earlier. I'm sure if you've seen Twitter over the last 24 hours, you'd know what's been said by me.

I can't go into what was discussed between Ray, Steven and few of his followers, as I was doing a podcast at 01:20 in the morning with BoltFromTheBlue. I returned from doing that podcast to DM Steven - and found I was blocked.

Therefore, I couldn't read what had gone on. 

However, if you would like a little back-story for balance, without jumping over me or Ray - I simply posted two comments (no names were mentioned, nor was I abusive to anyone). They were meant as banter between me and Ray about the fact that the last 4/5 days - pretty much every video we'd put out had been pretty much copied. Now, if that's offensive in any way shape or form - then you need to take a long hard look at what offends you. 

The only interaction I had with Steven (prior to going off to do the podcast) was to ask him a simple question - and that was "are you now calling yourself a Man City channel, I'm not sure Cheesy will be too pleased with that. Again, if that offends you then there is something seriously wrong with you. In fact, Steven replied to me explaining why he'd done it. It was a simple question that got a reply. I'd previously (20 mins earlier) been on his channel, watched his Sky Sports video and congratulated him on it. Does that sound like someone 'picking on a young chap? Oh, and Steven's 31 ffs....

Now - if I had offended him so badly, he could easily have DM'd me and asked why? He could easily have just told me to "fuck off"...there are some other back stories as to why I asked the question, but like many of the alleged followers who got abusive in the replies to Ray - they probably don't even know where my question came from. So, I'll explain, seen as you've clearly taken a stance and decided to offer some advice:

A few months ago, Steven tweeted some comments (let's call them slightly provocative - possibly, looking for a reaction). It was about him changing his name from Esteemed Kompany to something else and he was asking people to give him some ideas. He then went on to explain why he wanted to change it - to get more subscribers...and in reply to someone's comments about other channels, he replied something along the lines of "yeah, should just called myself Man City Fan TV  "..............of course, that comes across on our timeline...so I just basically said to him that we had worked really hard to get to where we were at the time" No abuse, nothing...but got a few of his idiot followers making stupid comments etc etc - the usual stuff of kids hiding behind bio pics of players. A few choice words were posted (not by me, them). I didn't block Steven, I didn't go into a massive rant etc....so, when his video notification came up on my gmail - it stated A Man City Channel........not a Man City Fan Channel....it's sort of intimating that you're a City Channel, hence my question to him asking if he's working for City. 

And that, is the top and bottom of my involvement in what you are describing as "bordering on bullying a young chap".

Now, I finished the podcast in the early hours of the morning to find messages from Ray telling me that Steven had been calling me a dick, a nob-head etc....no big deal, I would have laughed it off, so I went to DM Steven to ask why he took my questions to heart....but was blocked, so could only see what Ray had commented on, not what Steven and a few followers had posted.

And with regards to showing us in bad light - through a 3rd party I actually contacted Steven to offer an apology if he was so offended - and he refused. So who's being what here? Furthermore, what you clearly don't see is the amount messages and replies that Ray and I have had from City followers of all ages, saying he's a snowflake and doesn't like criticism. 

Like I said - I extended a hand and tried to apologise as I thought it was the right thing to do - I was focusing on what was right, not who was right. He refused.

So...thanks for comments Moon - but I felt you should know a little more about what went on, just like some of those kids on Twitter who throw abuse around from their mobile phones.

Several people have contacted me by DM (they don't want to comment openly on twitter for fear of being abused as well).

One guy said Steven has made 'lifestyle choices' rather than being unable to afford to go to games. For instance, he was holidaying in New York a few months back and has been to Amsterdam for a break too. He's choosing where he spends his money and that's entirely up to him and no criticism can/should be attached to that.

But to insinuate he's broke and can't afford to go to games is disingenuous. To insinuate that I'm 'poverty shaming' him is wrong too. 

People can do whatever they want with their content and they can have their own reasons for missing games. But to apparently miss games so that you can go and make content (to make money out of it) and then go through all that bollocks about being broke doesn't ring true.

One kid said he was surprised as he personally chose to spend all his spare money going to watch City play. You'd have thought a Man City content provider would jump at the chance at going to a game, especially when offered free tickets on more than one occasion I believe. But Steven would rather make videos for money than go to the game. That's his choice and, as I said earlier, he's entitled to it.

And he said he pays for all his own tickets (untrue).

He's kind of jumping on the bandwagon against the media calling out City fans for not going to games, giving the impression he doesn't go sometimes because of money issues. It rings pretty hollow with me.

And, rather than speak to Andy privately to discuss Andy's comments, he calls him a dick. And gives me a mouthful too after I ask him about going to games.

His followers wade it and give it plenty (mostly to me) yet he doesn't say anything to ask them to stop. He's happy to laugh along with them so he might as well have said those things himself. His silence speaks volumes.

He's got 10 times more followers on twitter than we have and he's been around a lot longer to build up a following so it's to be expected that his fans will try to look out for him. That's why some people are afraid to comment on twitter as they'll get blasted for having a different opinion.

And our youtube channel was invaded with spam and abusive comments from his followers. We must have removed over 40 abusive comments in 24 hours alone. 

So you want to talk about bullying? I asked him about his not going to games. Where's the bullying? Some of the things said about me are downright horrible (and them are the ones I can see as I've been blocked or blocked certain individuals).

So there's a lot more here than meets the eye. It might not 'look good' on twitter as you say, but those people criticising and abusing us don't have the full picture. And I doubt they'd be any different if they did. They'd stick up for Steven the same way Liverpool fans stuck up for Suarez.

I don't use Twitter very often. Hardly at all, in fact.  So I dusted off my account and went in search of all this abuse after Moon posted his comment.  After a good half an hour or more of digging, I can honestly say that I didn't find anything untoward from either Andy or Ray.  Now that could be for a number of reasons:

1.  The offensive content had been deleted.  I find this a bit hard to believe as I was checking it all out within a couple of hours of Moon's comment and unless you guys were on it quicker than I was, it's unlikely to be the case.  Also, neither of you bother to delete your own contentious posts on here, so I would think it's against your nature to do that.  BTW, that last bit is not a criticism: The fact you don't do that means you are prepared to stand by your comments and that's a good thing.

2. I didn't dig long enough.  Possibly, but I checked every post I could find in that 24 hour window and if it was that blatant, I'd have seen something.

3. It wasn't as bad as was made out.  I know from past experience how these guys are and, frankly, I'd have said they were more conciliatory than anything. Yes, I saw a few opportunities for backlash, but it just didn't show up.

Moon, I get that your post was intended in good faith and that you're looking to protect the image that Andy and Ray have worked hard to put forward and it's to your credit.  I think maybe you might've seen something that wasn't intended (or maybe it was and I missed it) and if I'm wrong then please show me the posts that you felt were out of line.  Not that I'm policing their content, it's just for my own curiosity.  However, from what I saw, it did seem as though the negative comments were incoming rather than outgoing.

For what it's worth, I sometimes found Steven to be a bit of an arse when he was publishing under the banner of Esteemed Kompany - he often got the hump with people who disagreed with him and I suspect that's why he dropped that particular brand in order to start again. I know I stopped watching his content because of it.  That and the fact he used to speak like someone who never actually watched us play...

Anyway, I think I've said enough. It's not my place to police content that isn't really anything to do with me, but as far as I'm concerned it's nothing more than a storm in a teacup.

I don't think either Andy or I have removed any posts relating to that spat. It's not our style and we've nothing to hide.

Steven has changed his name to Esteemed Kompany - A Man City channel. I think it was reasonable banter to question this as it can easily seem to be an official Man City channel. Which it isn't. 

I think Andy made a joke about Steven's content (over the last few days both Cheesy and Steven had similar content to us, but most topics were in the news anyway, except a Frenkie de Jong bit he did which was odd as he'd done one two days before).

Ok, you can say Andy was having a dig at him. Steven comes back calling him a dick. So I mention the point that Steven doesn't even go to games (which is true). He seems to have half jumped onto the 'poverty shaming' bandwagon. He's critical of certain media (and rightly so) but he doesn't go to games, even when offered a free ticket. 

That's what I called him out on. So he said what the fuck has it got to do with me? A little aggressive, but he doesn't like to be criticised. He's a bit soft like that and many people have called him out for being negative on his channel.

Maybe he should just be clear and honest with his legions of followers. I got plenty of abuse on twitter for about 24 hrs with plenty of distasteful comments. Our youtube channel was spammed with shit as well. As I said, over 40 comments had to be removed.

I never once saw him ask that his followers stay calm and polite or even out of it. He was content to have a laugh with the people throwing abuse at us.

People have DM'd us with their support but they don't want to voice opinions on twitter in case they suffer the same fate. I lost about 80 followers on twitter but over 2.5k remain. 

We know he wants to make money from his channel and who is anyone to say that's wrong? But, please don't make out that you didn't go to games because you couldn't afford to or that you had some deep personal crisis in you life when you attended an academy game (free) beforehand and then legged it home before the senior game so that you could do a live stream of the team lineup so that you might make a free quid on youtube.

And don't tell us you pay for your own tickets when you went to Wembley paid for by McDonalds I believe (or some other sponsor ,maybe through his job, but still a freebie). 

Now, I'm not gonna write all that on twitter and the neanderthals that want to support him and abuse us won't care anyway. They've picked their side and made their choices. It's like trying to tell Liverpool fans that Suarez is a racist whilst they're wearing t-shirts in support of him. They'll never change their mind.

Anyway, I'm sure Andy is even less bothered about this than I am.

But it's no problem, mate.  I wanted to see for myself what was going on out of sheer curiosity (partly driven by how you both can be on here, if I'm honest) and I was a bit disappointed to find there was very little of note, especially from Andy.

I also don't think Moon was offended himself - I like to think he's made of sterner stuff - but I get that he was looking out for you guys and knows that all your hard work isn't worth blowing just because one fool and his flock of idiot sheeple are having a pop.  As long as you don't get lured in by the trolls, you should be fine and people will keep coming to watch your videos because it's clear that you guys go to games, care about the club and, more importantly, know what you're talking about.

Cheers Leo. People's honest and kind words do mean so much. It's interesting that most of the 'older' fans that go to games and have interacted with us for months are carrying on as normal. It's mostly younger fans that don't go to games, or even live in this country, that give us abuse.

Isn't it strange that a 19yo living and studying in the south of England, that hasn't been to a City game but has supported them for 10 years+, doesn't get a bad word from me. His story is very different and he's honest about the reasons he doesn't/can't go.  

And we've offered him spare for when he does come to Manchester. I'd rather think that's what we're about than a spat with a softie.
