ENGLAND - The Players.

Can't be arsed watching the rest of the 15 mins to go.

This isn't a knee-jerk reaction on the players, BUT.....after watching mostly shite performances for the past 10 years, here's what I think of the manager and the players tonight:

Hart - IS England's best keeper by a long way.

Jones - looks OK going forward, but a RB? Fuck me, he's shit at defending. Micah or Jones at RB? Capello goes for the rag connection over form and proven at RB.

Cahill - didn't do a great deal wrong - and not sure of anyone else who may be in front of him.

Terry - continually looks on the slide and get's caught out of position time and time again.

Cole - quick and again a la Cahill.

Barry - gave the ball away twice all night. Made some good interceptions and tried to cover Jones' inadequacies at RB as Walcott is lazy at his defensive duties. Looks more positive in the role than Parker.

Parker - the epitome of a player who slows the game down to a standstill. Awful.

Young - all flash and no substance apart from an open net header.

Rooney - looked OK at times, but his control was pretty poor - and back to his old ways again. Head in the right place? Capello fell for his spin.

Bent - he is Jo in disguise. Offside more times than he touched the ball. Another who scored into an open net, but created nothing for himself or his team.

Walcott - THE MOST OVER-RATED PLAYER I HAVE EVER SEEN. NEVER TAKES A PLAYER ON CONSIDERING HIS PACE. POOR CONTROL - POOR PLAYER!

Capello - "The kids"??????????? FUCK OFF..................back to the same old same old.

Terrible team, terrible performance, terrible lack of passion. 2-2??

Ditto, ive always believed in walnuts shitness and Jones over micah is a joke.

What the fuck is terry and lampard still doing there, these old c words let us down big time in the previous competition.

We need to make changes, the likes of terry needs to go and so does the manager, picking Jones in front of Richards???

On a brighter note, Dzeko scored, Kompany scored and Silva, Nasri and Savic all got assist's.

The captaincy issue was a crapelo joke. Why not make hart captain as a temp for now instead of changing every game!

Even at 2-0 up we did'nt look in control of the game, we gave away possession too much. The team is'nt balanced and without a playmaker we dont create enough. Dissapointing result but job done again, on to another tournament to get knocked out on penalties

Watching the game on Sky and listening to Rednapp and Hoddle, it was if we were cruising, chance after chance in the first half. What I saw was two opportunities put into empty nets and an awful lot of 'long balls' leading to nothing and a shed load of sideways passing possession. Hardly cruising, just looked like the midfield were running out of ideas, as ever through ball was another opportunity for the linesman to flex is triceps due to Bent inept forward runs.

The game was crying out for some creativity - as Rooney was dropping back into his own half to collect the ball and start a move.

You saw Milner and Johnson in the stands..........them and Defoe would have been perfect for last night, but no, Downing????

Now we've qualified,I'd like to see the FA be proactive and get shut of thunderbirds now as we all know there is no chance of us doing anything with this clown in charge.Obviously I don't expect us to win it,we just don't have the players,but semis at least is achievable.
Give wobble chops a contract until the end of the tournament,I'm sure it would help with his tax problems and he should be able to do it while still spuds manager with no important fixtures before the tournament now and we will know if he's worth employing with the world cup in mind or we'll know if we have to look elsewhere.
To not play Micah Richards at right back last night suggests he's no idea what he's doing and to play Rooney showed a terrible lack of judgement,you didn't need to be mystic meg to see that coming

Imo it was a typical England display, looking consistantly average against crap opposition. Jones needs to get settled at Utd before anything and is getting over-hyped at the minute (future England cpt etc), that's the only reason he's in before Micah. Apart from a couple of runs he struggled all night, but Walcott did him no favours by not helping out.
Don't think Parker did as bad as you're making out blueboy, he just disappeared with the rest of the team in the 2nd half. Now Walcott's a different story, he really is the crappest winger ever to wear an England shirt, i'd honestly put Beckham back in before him (it's the only name i can think of at the minute).......wtf does Crapello see in him, i'm baffled.
Rooney cost us both goals and ultimately the game with his lazyness and stupidity. When he needed to hold the ball up right on half time he tried a fancy flick and gave away possession, they broke away and scored. The less said about his sending off to put us under the cosh even more the better....complete and utter wanker.
Hart, Cahill and Cole imo were the only ones to do themselves no harm for the next game.

lets hope the FA ban Rooney & all other United players for life.

Anyway, as for England, I really couldn't care less. I realised midway through the second half, whilst flicking through the channels in boredom that Spain were on ITV4 and decided to watch the remainder of that instead. Much much better, Silva looked good
