Dynamo Kiev
Could be a tough tie this one.
Think a lot will depend on how we fare in the Ukraine. Some of these eastern European outposts can be notoriously difficult places to go, although we will at least avoid the worst of their weather.
Kiev are an experienced team in European competition, and have a good squad - as well as Shevchenko.
1-1 in Kiev. 2-0 at our place.
Thoughts?

Re: Dynamo Kiev
I have a bad feeling about this game, Kiev are a tough outfit, and we need to be at our attacking and defending best, going to be hard mate IMO.
We need to have Kompany back and defo Nigel, otherwise we may well crumble under the atmosphere at there place.

Re: Dynamo Kiev
I dont think from here on in there will be an easy European tie. It will depend on Mancini's experience in managing European Teams, or should I say managing in European competitions. We seem to forget that though we havnt been in the cups Mancini was involved for at least 3 if not 4 seasons in european competitions.

Re: Dynamo Kiev
Good point Lee, I don't doubt for a second RM wont have a plan, Im sure he will.
Like Emjay said take a draw at theirs and 2-0 at ours would do me.
I am not well up on Kievs current squad though, anybody know of any super threats in their current squad?

Re: Dynamo Kiev
A draw at their place would be a great result. This is probably the hardest tie we will have if we go all the way. I think we will just edge it, either by the odd goal, or on away goals, but its going to be difficult.
Anyone going to make the trip to Kiev? Wouldn't mind it myself as its one of them places you would probably never go to, but i will have to see what cost is involved. I've been on a couple of Spikes trips and they are great, you can find the details usually on Bluemoan for those interested.

Just had a look, £330.00pp for flight, transfers and hotel, you have to get your own ticket. Not bad imo, like i said they usually put on a great trip, with great flight times and top hotels.

Re: Dynamo Kiev
Just noticed that the BBC have the kick off for this fixture at 20.05 our time.
Surely that's about 10pm in the Ukraine (or later).
Fuck sake, doesn't give us a lot of recovery time before Reading. Also won't it be stupidly cold at that time of night over there?
Really worried now.

Re: Dynamo Kiev
The cold weather could well be a factor at their gaff, this week it's been around -10deg.
Snoods, tights, bobby hats and gloves for a few City players me thinks.
Boy,
I think you really do have the Arabs cash
