Suarez Ban!

Good news is he will be missing for at least 2 of our 3 meetings after getting an 8 game ban for Racism!
Not sure if it will be extended for his finger jesture at the crowd..
A talented player no doubt but I for 1 wont miss him!

They'll probably appeal & he'll get it reduced paving his way to play both games against us. They can't be seen to be doing iccle old City any favours. Mark my words

Wow if he gets 8 games what is John Terry going to get, his was slightly more blatant !

I reckon will be reduced to 6 games on appeal, although the FA do have a habit of increasing punishments though.

i was surprised by the length of the ban, but he was guilty and he admitted it.

let's wait until the full report comes out and maybe that will determine whether liverpool will appeal or not.

i think they have to appeal because they need him to be available to play against us in the CC as that's all they have to play for this season.

If they leave it two weeks and then appeal, the hearing wouldn't probably be until well after the two semis.

not sure the FA will allow that - knowing their reasons behind it. if he has admitted, as you say......then how can he appeal? a ban is a ban.....what would he appeal on? 8 becomes 10 IMO if he does.

well, he admitted using the words rather than admit he was racially abusing evra.

The FA won't start the ban until any appeals process has been exhausted.

the appeal could be on the grounds that he didn't consider it racist, but i can't see him getting anywhere.

i now expect someone to come out of the woodwork and complain to the police a la john terry.

yeah.........10 games!!! fuck em...racial abuse cannot be tolerated, regardless of the country of origin of the player who spoke the words...otherwise, we become a la Italy, Russia, Poland, etc...no place for it in the modern, multi-cultural game...and those (Suarez, Terry) who are found guilty/admit guilt...should be shown as examples to deter the rest. No arguements.

now liverpool are saying that the panel made its decision based on evra's word and that isn't enough evidence.
