Cheik Tiote - Worth a Punt?

I've been really impressed with him. His work-rate is immense, good on the ball, scores the odd goal and would replace Yaya for now and gives more of an offensive option with steel.

whether he u=is good enough or not, i'm not sure. newky will want £15-£20M for him and we can't afford that in all honesty.

Are you all sure? What a performance again by Tiote. The guy is NDJ at his best, but better going forward - and a better passer of the ball IMO.

well NDJ could be on his way in the summer...

If so - Tiote is the perfect replacement. I know some think he is just a hard working MF - but watching closely - he is so much more than that - great touch on the ball, great anticipation ...but it's all about opinions.

I'd still rather have Nige in there if he gets back some match sharpness. But if he goes then I have to admit he looked quite good last night, but I still maintain currently would not take the squad forward.

Not for me, from what i've seen he's looked slow and clumsy conceeding more fouls than Gareth Barry. Plus he's got the most stupidest haircut in the PL.

Not really sure whether you watched the game last night or not Shaken, but i think he committed one cynical foul all night to stop an attack and probably intercepted/prevented more United attacks than any other player, as for .........clumsy? He has more class on the ball than Barry and NDJ put together. His passing is superb mate.

Tbh blue, i didn't know it was on but after watchin City the night before the Mrs wouldn't be too pleased if i put the Rags on anyway, I had to relent and watch Mama Mia with her .

Honestly - Tiote will go to one of the top clubs - and if United don't buy him, I'll be very surprised....he's that good.

But yeah Bewar3..he''s off to that tin pot tournament as well.

We will miss Yaya, and to some extent Kolo as cover...but poor Pardue...Ba and Tiote, his 2 best players.
