0-0 bore draw for me Wens or a total humilitation for the Rags!! Could do with dodgey ref decisions a few sendings off and a mega cock up goalkeeper error...all against the rags!
Re: As Much as It Pains Me to say it

utd looked very good in the first half. chelsea fell to pieces once utd scored their first. they looked like city. why play end to end when you are winning 3-1?
that torres chance should be haunting him. he looks finished.

Chelsea collapse 3-3! I suppose we'd take the draw before the game, but a bit gutting that Chelsea collapsed, some poor reffing from the supposed best ref in the world Howard Webb (tm), funny how United got soft penalties but we had a blatant 100% nailed on one declined against Silva, and the same again yesterday! some anti Silva bias on display there.

Dont forget Webb is United's 12th man
2 points dropped is fine by me !
Another 2 or 3 next week against Racistpool & a win for us would be great

I suppose it's been a good weekend for us, it could quite easily been a reverse yesterday with old City, but we were very professional. 2 points dropped by United and the difficult run of games theory is working out so far.
Will we see Webb reffing in the lower leagues as punishment for a shoddy display? I doubt it!

that 2nd pen was laughable.
some poor decisions. ivanovic did a great tackle in the first half and a free kick was awarded to utd.

Evening all. Just recovered from a 8 hour trip home from Stanstead.
Just 1 question. How does Webb keep his job? I thought the FA were supposed to monitor the referees performance

Re: As Much as It Pains Me to say it
First was a penalty...but second??? WTF......Webb is supposed to be a top ref....well explain the 3 or 4 challenges by United players early on and no bookings...but Torres tries to stop himself after Evans turns around and see's Torres, so puts the brakes on, then is surprised that Torres ran into the back of him....dives to the floor holding his back.....and Torres gets a yellow? WTF is that all about? Webb clearly loves United...otherwise he wouldn't give so many dodgy decisions towards them, and against the opposition!
Complete and utter wanker of the highest order....god help our young refs if this is what they have to look up to!

Re: As Much as It Pains Me to say it
Missed this game today as i was out sledging with the little un, so i can't really comment on the decisions in question (MOTD2 for me later). When i read (above) that Webb was reffing though, i knew the Rags were bound to get a few dodgy decisions.
It really does beg the question, how does Webb get to referee the Rags so often?

lets not mention citys pen against Fullham eh, where AJ kicked the defender then dived on the floor, which he then did again later on & should have been booked for cheating!
Or when that City player (forget his name) pulled somebody back (which is a booking) then thought he'd put his head in, the ref could have sent him off there for two yellows but he did'nt.

Don't think anybody on here has said Johnson didn't dive, but counter that with an absolute clear cut penalty on Silva - did we get that? No.

Hmmm..we do love when it goes for us. What pisses fans off is when they have a run of decisions which are clearly wrong - ie like we have had lately.

No, but against Chelsea we had stonewall penalty of the year turned down! we then went on to lose that game!
As for Johnson's "dive" well they say the game evens itself out over a season, in this case over a game, Silva should have had a penalty, so... And yes he should have been booked for a dive, idiot went down when he could have passed the ball.

Its all "ifs & buts" mate, not a week goes by these days without somebody complaining how hard done by they've been by the ref!

Except those who consistently get the decisions in their favour.......
