I don't like him for his previous thuggishness - but he sure can take great corners and cross the ball into the box. Pity he screwed up.

I was waiting for him to grab his badge while standing on the centre line in front of the 2 remaining Utd fans - but as Anderson had already left the field and Ferdinand was eating a bag of quavers behind BF - it didn't happen.

I must admit about Barton that he gives 100%. He might not be as good as he thinks he is but then again most sportsmen/women arnt. He is however better than some of the so called pundits who give him a hard time for his off field comments.
When he said he kept us up under pearce, well along with Distin and Dunne to right he did. When he talked about the failures coming back and writing books about how it wasnt their fault they were crap at the world cup (Lampard anyone) he was spot on. About being the best English midfield player this season ...well maybe not as good as Wilshere or Barry but a hell of a sight better than Gerrard and lampard IMO that is.

Sorry lee but imo he's shit and playing at Newcastle is just about his lower to mid-table level.

Don't care if he did well for City or not, i can't stand him and in my eyes he will always be a scouse wanker.

I think he's a very good midfielder in an average side. To be honest I'd rather have a player who gives 100% in every game than some of the dross we've seen from Barry, Yaya, Milner, Jo etc..

However as a person he is a horrible scouse twat so I don't really give a toss about him anymore

If he had been raised in a stable household in a nice area he could well have turned himself into a Gareth Barry/ Frank Lampard career wise but he wasn't from that background, he was raised in a shithole by shitty parents with shitty siblings and quite simply you can't polish a poo
