I want to attach some rope/cord to the end of a fishing rod. I would also like to be able to detach the rope.

Any ideas?

I'm guessing that I'd have to drill through near the end of the rod and maybe attach the rope via some sort of clip/hook, but am lost as to what may work.

I knew someone would ask!

Actually, I am going to build a big bubble wand.

I started blowing bigger bubbles with my kids in the summer and I want to go to the next level of bubbles.

two pieces of wood, connected by mop yarn or rayon etc.

bubble juice can simply be fairy mixed with water (10-20 parts water to 1 part fairy). If you have something to 'thicken' it like KY Jelly, JLube, that makes the bubbles stronger. You can also add a little baking powder to the mix.

I use about 4 litres of water, 250 ml fairy, 4g baking powder and 2-3g JLube. You might need to heat some of the water to get the ingredients to dissolve better.

High humidity and not too much wind if you want to make big bubbles or long bubble 'tubes'.

bluey, my 'expertise' runs to just making above average bubble juice at the moment.

I have never tried to make a bubble wand and I am fucking useless at DIY
