Old City Programmes
I've got 8 old City programmes from the 50's..60's etc.
How much are these worth - peanuts, nothing, fortunes?
I've just found them whilst cleaning out my office, in a pouch, stuffed into a box.
My youngest is going on ANOTHER school trip this year to Paris with the rugby team...and I said you have to raise half of the £700 if you want to go....so he's been doing odd jobs etc. I found these and they don't really hold any sentimental value for me...so thought I might give them him and see if he can flog them.
x3 from the 59/60 season vs:
Forrest
Burnley
Southampton
All fairly pristine...the team was:
Trautman
Leivers
Kerr
Barnes
McTavish
Shawcross
Barlow
Johnstone
McAdams
Hayes
Colbridge
The other 5 are from the 67/68 season vs:
Southampton
Borussia 9 Dortmund
Sheffield Wednesday
Sheffield United
West Ham
The West Ham game teams:
Mulhearn
Book
Pardoe
Kennedy
Heslop
Oakes
Lee
Doyle
Summerbee
Young
Coleman
West Ham
Ferguson
Bonds
Lampard
Peters
Stephenson
Moore
Redkapp
Boyce

City won 3-0!
Any idea?

Re: Old City Programmes
Check out other similar programmes being sold on
E-bay. Seeing what they are going for should give you some idea what yours are worth.

Re: Old City Programmes
Auction houses could advise if you email them the details, tell them you wondered if they were worth auctioning in a specialist auction. I did that with some old special edition bottles of whisky my late father-in-law had left behind after working in the whisky trade for 40 years and they told me what they expected them to be worth.

Re: Old City Programmes
67/68 season programmes may well be worth a few bob seeing as we won the league in that season. As for the others, not so sure.
I've still got the one from May 13, 2012. At some point in the future, that's going to be my pension. Christ knows, the one I've got now won't be worth much...

Re: Old City Programmes
Hmm. £2 is still more than my pension, but I think I may have to look at other options...

Re: Old City Programmes
If you think one of god knows how many thousands of the same programme that were sold that day is going to supplement your pension then you may be disappointed Leo

Re: Old City Programmes
Yeah, but how many of them are going to survive? Look how much old cup final programmes go for - and they'd have had 100,000 punters for those!
Oh, yeah, plus I was joking...
