Which Would You Prefer?

If you could choose one, but only one, of the following which would it be?

1 - Finish in the top 4 and qualify for next seasons Champions league

2 - Win the FA Cup

3 - Win the Uefa Europa League


Personally, as much as I would love to see City lift some silverware, any silverware, i'd vote option 1. I think CL qualification is a must if our club is to take the next step towards becoming a team that competes for all major honours on a regular basis.

3-2-1 in that order. Unfortunately the media/public/UEFA have decreed that finishing 4th is better than winning a trophy.

Even our players and manager say that top 4 is the aim, but personally, i would love that banner at the swamp to be ripped down when we win some silverware, so its a cup, any cup for me.

I, too, would take a pot any day of the week.

Apparently, though, finishing 4th is almost as good as finishing 1st.

I still find it bemusing that at the beginning of each season, clubs openly set out to finish 4th.

Aim for 1st. And whatever will be, will be...

I started going in 77, the year after the league cup win.I'd been to a few games before then but started going properly with my dad,sat on the purple benches in the platt lane with our flask of bovril and I can still remember him saying "never mind you'll have plenty of finals to go to" when I moaned that he couldn't get me a cup final ticket
Well I'm now 43 and still never seen us win fuck all so it has to be the FA cup first before anything else

At 1st I thought 4th & CL but then I thought I'm not that fussed about CL apart from the fact that we should be able to attract better players

SO any trophy is what I want. I would have even taken the league cup. If Mancini hadn't put our 3rd team out against WBA that might have been us on Sunday instead of Brum !

Also there is a good chance that Man U Chelsea Arse or Spuds could win the CL which would mean that 4th wouldn't be good enough & even if it were as we are typical City I can foresee us not qualifying to the group stages

So after some thought for me it is
1. FA Cup
2. Europa Cup
3. Top 4

Would you be happy if we finished 5th, went out of the EL in the Semis but Beat United 3-0 in the FA Cup Final?

I'd be delighted. We'd have a trophy, done ourselves proud in the EL & would be in the EL again next year. Think that would be enough to keep Bobby as well

Top 4 without a doubt.

Mainly due to the fact our owners have asked for this target.

Otherwise it will mean sacking RM and starting the player carousel once again.
