What to do with Micah and Jack?

Ok, we know Den would sell them on to a glue factory, but let's be serious here.

I'd like them to stay, keep fit and free from injury and see if they still have enough to make it to the top. At the end of last season Rodwell looked very promising and we all know Micah, at his best, is a great asset to the team.

The fact that we were sniffing around Fernando may well mean Rodwell is on his way out. He's 4th choice behind Yaya, Fernandinho and Garcia. Being behind Garcia should tell him it's time to move on.

Just in case he can come good I'd prefer him to go on loan to another premier league club at the start of next season so he can get regular games under his belt and then we can all see whether he should stay.

Micah is only still here as we have no cover for Zabba otherwise. If we can get good cover, i can see Micah going as well.

I wouldn't be too bothered that they are Home Grown (HG) players as you can have 17 non- HG players in your squad and as many kids as you want. Hart, Clichy, Wrighty and Jimmy qualify as HG (I'm expecting Boyata and Lescott to move on in the summer) so we'd have a smallish squad of 21 if Rodwell and Richards leave.

Assuming they leave, what are they worth? Surely more than tuppence ha'penny.

Bit harsh Dawg, so is it really worth my imput on this topic?   

You've highlighted the problem there Dawg.....they can't and won't stay fit, their history proves that. I'd love them to prove me wrong and be huge successes at the club, but unfortunately i just can't see it.

Sell um both now while they're fit (ish) i say.....but you already knew that didn't you     .

It's a difficult one. We've all seen Micah have absolute stormers, but his frailty will always be there....he's just gonna be a player that's always going to have injuries...and where we are right now and where we could be next season, we need a reliable under study to Zaba...we cannot risk having no cover because he's injured again. So for me, as much as I'd hate it, if we got £12-15m for him, I'd sell him.

Rodwell.....just don't see him as a reliable MF player. Yes, he had a good game against Norwich, but again, is he really better than what we could buy - Kroos for example? No.
I think again, as with Micah, he'll never stay fit.

I'd sell him on and if we got the same as Micah....that's £25-30m to bring in a top class MF player and some extra cash for a RB.

I also agree, Boyata and Lezza will be gone in the summer.

Can't see us getting any more than £10m for Boyata, and getting Lezza off the payroll will free up some cash.

Therefore, come the summer, another RB/LB, CB and a MF player...all top class signings...and I think that should see us with a squad for the next few years.

Can't see us getting anywhere near £10M for Boyata. For me, he's in the £2M category.

Selling/releasing those 4 should save us enough in wages to get 2 quality players.

No way Dawg... he's played PL football for the past 2-3 years, albeit sporadically, but because of his age, he's an International player....£10m maybe a little steep, but we'd get far more than £2m.

Rodwell is only behind Garcia due to his injuries not on form. If he had a decent run injury free Garcia would be behind Rodwell in my view. However, if he hasn't broken back into the team and stayed injury free by the end of the season then there is no point in keeping him.

I'd get rid of Boyatta for 20K..
Agreed to ship all 4 out though as we need reliable cover, or better still better first team players for them positions...

The idea is we bring money in...not get fans to pay for his transfer!  

For his own sake Rodwell should leave to get regular football, but then he’s just as injury prone as Micah. Would keep Micah though just can’t believe he’s gone crap over night at his best he could keep Zabba out of the team. Compared to the rest of the top 5 our squad is not the biggest we can afford to have a few fringe players, anyway call me sentimental, but it wouldn’t feel right without him.

I know...would love him to keep fit...but I've been saying that for 2 years.
