Predictions...
Out of sheer boredom, name who you think will finish Top3 and who will end up bottom 3, taking into consideration that no signings have been made yet and that means second guessing who will buy in quality and who will just bring in sub standard players for ones they will lose.
1. City - I think we will make around 3 top quality signings, whilst clearing the decks of the deadwood.
2. Chelsea - They will spend big and Torres will come good.
3. United - They will spend, but not on the scale their fans want.
18. Norwich - They look suspect at the back, will be another Blackpool
19. Swansea - Will do ok at home, but will look out of their depth.
20. Wigan - Was lucky this year, won't be so lucky next year, gone never to return.
What's yours??????

Re: Predictions...
Arsenal - They will buy a top keeper and another central defender and will come good if they can keep harmony in their camp (not easy)
United - They will buy a few players to cover for gingernut and shagger but they will need time to develop. Mental strength will keep them up there.
City - 3rd again won't be so bad. New left back a definite and a cracking winger
Blackburn - not good enough and Venkys aren't going to invest what is needed. Keane is out of his depth.
Sunderland - will spend good money but they won't be able to replace bent
QPR - will buy a few players but will get caught with their pants down for something and will get docked 10 points

Re: Predictions...
I'd say swansea play more like a WBA.
bloomin good footy for the players available.
Norwich would be my tip for bottom of the pile next year.
Dunno who else, but Everton will be in the bottom 3 after 5 weeks probably.

Re: Predictions...
I just think that United will be better away from home next season, Chelsea will still be strong but going through change & Arsenal will be Arsenal, there or thereabouts.
City will find it hard (like spurs) playing CL games/FA & league cup while trying to win the prem as well.
I wont put money on it though

Re: Predictions...
Still think United will win the league again next season but I'm a bit puzzled that the punters think it will be a 2 horse race. They seem to forget the only thing that stopped city taking 2nd this season was goal difference.
ONH the difficulty of playing Europe on the thursday is harder than playing there tuesday wednesday and we seemed to manage that last season. We sort of had our learning curve with that under Hughes a few seasons ago when sven got us in by the back door. Spurs when they were in the europa ditched it quick along with Villa and Everton. A mistake in my opinion because if you want CL football its bets to gain experience in Europe in any competition. It backfired spectacularly for Villa having played a weakened side to concentrate on challenging Arsenal they then proceeded to field side after side of losing players. Never ever go out to lose a game, the consequences of fielding a losing mentality just carries on.

Re: Predictions...
City played the same number of European games as Spuds last season and were also cursed with playing more Monday night games than any other club. We also had 2 unwanted replays but still managed to win the cup and finish level on points with Chelsea.
This was all done with the Tevez and Balotelli sagas as a backdrop, so:-
City
Chelsea
United
Wigan
Swansea
Norwich

Re: Predictions...
City did well last year but the CL is a much harder competition to play than the "ropey" cup lads, plus you had a pretty easy run in the FA Cup until the semis wont you agree?
Last season was a funny one with United very poor away, Chelsea flying at first then have two months when they could'nt win a game, Arsenal blowing it at the end (again) & Spurs losing it completly!
You will need to rest some of your best players as its a long old season when EVERY games a big one.

Re: Predictions...
ONH yet its strange with Spurs going into the ropey cup that all of a sudden its a hard one with thursday games and it will effect their whole campaign and be the major reason they wont get CL football again. Nothing to do with rent a quote 'arry being their manager. I think you should have serious words with your feeder club!!!!

Re: Predictions...
how many extra matches did city have in the FA cup last season?
ok the opposition wasn't up to much all the way through the competition, but you still have to play those extra matches.
