Are transfer fees completely bonkers now?

Henderson for £20M, Torres £50M, Ronaldo £80M etc.

I think Ronaldo was actually worth that much since he has performed on the pitch and merchandising was incredible.

But Henderson for £20M? Is that right?

Its the wishful thinking inflated British footballer. All "home grown tallent" costs more, it did even before the having x number of players in your squad of 25. Look at Lescott, Milner etc. Good players but when you consider what we payed for VK, NDJ, Silva all better players imo then you see the problems.

Although we are probably to blame, Carroll for 35m and Henderson for 20m really do beggar belief. From what i've seen of both, mediocre with some potential, but never in a million years worth anywhere near those prices.

£20 million for a basically average player is incredible! No wonder Sunderland are quoted as saying ...'he goes with our blessing'

Makes the £7 million we paid for AJ look like the deal of the century

Don't understand the press. When City do it we're ruining football. When others do it then it's "the market". I think all this tinkering about with squads and homegrown numbers and other bollox just inflates the prices of English footballers to the detriment of fans who, after all, help fund the clubs.
