Hummels - £16M???
Reading that Manure are trying to get him for £15M-£16M is outrageous. We should have been after him especially as he is a world cup winner rather than 4th choice CB and half the price of Malanga.
If these two transfers happen, it's utter bollocks.

But typical of City.
I think people on here have been mentioning Hummels for 6mths now....if we can see how good he could be, then why can't our top brass?

I think some have been mentioning him for two years now. He's won a world cup and has played well in the CL for a few years now. There has to be something that they really don't like about him.
This Mangala could end up like Garcia, an expensive player that we can't move on. We should have moved away from that by now. If Hummels didn't work out for us, he'd still command a good transfer fee.

Never mind Hummels, we seem to studiously avoid German players altogether and I really don't get that. It's not like we have a history of signing duff Germans either.
Manny wants us to play free flowing, attacking football in a league full of tough teams. Isn't that a bit like the Bundeslige? I seem to recall the most free-flowing and attacking team in the World Cup was Germany. The most attacking football in the CL is played by the German entrants.
And then there's price. Isn't the Bundeslige wage capped? So we could get their players for less wages than someone used to the opulence of La Liga or Serie A. And if Yernited bag Hummels for a paltry £16m, then it's really the sort of place an FFP spending capped club should be going to, isn't it? I get the impression we're still shopping in Waitrose and we should really be trying Aldi. And they're German as well...
Get the bridge named after Bert Trautmann and point out to the owners that this is the name we all want because he's a legend. And he's German, at a time when Germans in this country were not exactly welcome. And then go and sign Klose, because he'll be cheaper, better and less arrogant than Didier fucking Drogba.

Offer £20 million for Hummels
We'll save 12 million and get a far better player
than Mongola !
