So, according to some ...the miserable bastard is off to Estonia on Sunday morning for another week away....any tips, apart from "hope your aircraft doesn't have another engine failure"?
Never been before, as a pax....so never spent any time there.
If you have, any places I should visit, other than a terminal building for 8 hours, or a 5 star luxury beach hotel paid for by the airline?

I get to spend a day on duty in France each week, does that count as international travel?

She should have been going as well with my lads....but my oldest is getting his GCSE results next Thursday.
Still, I arrive home at 09:00 next Sat, then we drive to Cornwall for a week....not abroad, but to be fair, I'd rather be down there in the cottage, than some of the places I go.

GCSE results are the following Thursday aren't they?
Next Thursday are the A level/AS level results as far as I'm aware?
Or so my 16 & 17 yr old lads think
On the way down to that there laandon with mrs PPLF
A theatre and shopping visit as punishment for me going to Wembley on Sunday

Yeah, you're right PPLF. I just asked my lad and he claims you can get the results on line and download them now. Wasn't just the GCSE's why they couldn't go, the client only just paid on Weds, so I wasn't booking flights until I knew they had paid...and the prices are now significantly dearer than they were a few weeks ago when I started looking at them.
They were approx £190, now with few seats left, they're in the region of £300 for direct flights...and they were only going from Mon-Fri...then an additional room at 90 euros per night...suddenly, 5 days becomes quite expensive.

Are you dragging her to the match, if she's dragging you shopping?

So, day two in Estonia....wow, some wonderful looking women..and some 'beasts'.
Bloody boiling hot, AC not great in the room, but.....Wi-fi superb!
Off out for the night in Tallinn old town tomorrow with the pilots....guess it'll get a little messy at 2.50 euros a pint!

Re: Blueboy - New Travel Blog
I'm intrigued to know what Tallinn's like. Nearly went there a couple of years ago (the pictures and reviews were fantastic), but opted for Budapest instead.
No regrets about where we ended up, but still tempted by Tallinn (particularly the old town).

Went into the old town last night. Never been before...and was really impressed. Very much like Prague.
Went to an Olde Mead pub (waitresses dressed up in traditional 16th Century dresses, hog roast etc).....sat outdoors and drank x5 litre jugs of Cinnamon Beer.....pissed as a fart, but they were absolutely gorgeous...then went for a curry...felt rough all day, so maybe a hair of the dog will sort me out.
Only spent an hour or so walking round the place, but it's lovely and full of fit women! So, I'm smiling!

Re: Blueboy - New Travel Blog
So...bit of excitement last night. On my way back from shopping mall across from the hotel, when approx 10 fire trucks, 10 paramedic vans and loads of Police cars went screeching to the terminal, behind the hotel. Clearly something not right, so I spoke to the other pilots in the hotel and they said an aircraft had blown a tyre on take-off and had hydraulic problems. The aircraft had to circle the airport for nearly an hour to burn off fuel and then we stood on the threshold of the runway watching it return in...with full fire and rescue support.....great landing, lots of smoke from the damaged wheel and the fire trucks foamed it for about 5 minutes...not often you are there to witness a potential disaster, but well done the pilots for getting it in without any 'major' issues.

Re: Blueboy - New Travel Blog
Now back home and in Polruan, Cornwall....a week of 'supposed' relaxation...though I've already spent most of this morning replying to business emails! Wife's not too happy....sent them off to Fowey to buy 'hooks, swivels and weights'...and some pasties, for fishing this afternoon.
Hopefully, it'll be Sea Bass for dinner!!
Regatta week here..so all of the tall ships are now starting to make their way into the estuary....weathers good, fireworks display tonight and Red Arrows fly-by on Thursday....god I love this place. Would rather be here than most places I've been lately.

Red Arrows display last night. Can't upload mine until I get back, but we watched them from the balcony of our house in Polruan and they flew over us at 200ft...brilliant.
