Are you a noisy fan?
I think most of us will agree that City fans don't make enough noise at home matches. We should make coming to the Etihad a daunting and even frightening experience for opposing players. We can do that by producing on the pitch of course, but we also need a huge contribution from the crowd.
Where I sit, there isn't too much noise at all. You'll get the odd fan shouting some obscenity at the ref or an opposing player but not much else unless we score. I'll join in with renditions of blue moon or the lamborghini song and a few others but it still remains too quiet for my liking.
I know this is an issue at a few clubs. There are very few clubs that just make a tremendous noise all the way through a game and others that seem to encourage their team to pile on pressure on opponents.
Are you a silent fan or do you sing and scream all the time? What can the club do to improve the atmosphere at home games? Or is up to the fans themselves?

I must admit, I'm a quiet fan..believe it or not. I obviously cheer etc if we score, but I'm not one for singing, shouting at games etc....I tend to sit and watch what's happening on the pitch.....though to be fair, in my younger days home and away, when you're with your mates, I was very, very vocal as were most I went with.
Maybe it's my age...maybe as I go with my kids now and not mates....lot's of possible variables.

I'm far too old to scream and shout all match long though I'd like to be able to 'get involved' a bit more. Maybe the extra fans next season will increase the noise levels?

Re: Are you a noisy fan?
I'm not as noisy as I'd like to be. I hurl abuse at the refs when they're crap, I shout to the players to support (or occasionally berate) and I try and get songs going, but it's really hard to get anyone to join in. Sometimes a song will get going, but it's usually just one cycle of it before it peters out. There's a half dozen or so near me who try and get things going as well, but most people around them just tut, or laugh at them.
My son gets more involved now he's a bit older, but I do get the impression that he'd get noisier if he was with the hardcore lot over by the away end.
The North Stand only gets noisy when we're on the attack and it's at our end. Other than that, there's bugger all.

I stand in the bear pit behind the goal next to the away fans in the south stand,it's my stress relief for the week.

Re: Are you a noisy fan?
I think it would need something like that for me to belt out some noise now. I was like that as a lad and on away matches with a dozen or so mates, but whenever I get the chance to go now, it's the family stand, Colin Bell stand or up in 304/6....and there's not that much noise around there.
So PPLF....is this your alter ego now...

That's another reason my dad wouldn't let me go to the footy. Too much violence, or at least the portrayal of ugly stuff on the news.

It was very dodgy at times in the 80s
Don't think the blazin squad would've fared too well back then

When I used to go to away matches in the early 90s, it felt a bit dodgy too especially when I went on my own to London grounds.

Re: Are you a noisy fan?
Those days are well and truly over for me.....I don't even slag the referee off out loud anymore.
I think it's a youthful thing tbh, although I do tend to sit in quiet areas with either my dad or daughter.....and she definitely won't let me sing or shout
