Mario Balotelli
Is he any good or is he just a spoilt kid? So far he has been injured for the majority of his time at City. OK he got a hat trick which if I remember was 2 penalties & a knock in but so far I aint seen any of the great quality that he so famously says he has. All I've seen is mucho petulant behaviouir from a spoilt brat
Any thoughts

Re: Mario Balotelli
Hi Tony.
I tend to agree with that assessment.
I am really REALLY struggling to find positives about the guy. He needs to sort his bonce out and quick, otherwise fuck him off I say, he wants to go back to Milan to be racially abused then thats his choice.
From my personal view, I can't say I have warmed to him, to be honest he would suit being a United player (if you know what I mean), I don't like a player as mouthy and sulky as he is at my club.
It brings morale down, other players geeting the goat over his attitude, his lack of work ethic, not smiling, looking like an uninterested flyboy.
Maybe he will apply his ability, but I sincerely doubt it mate.
For someone who boasts so much, he has shown very little (apart from the hattrick etc)
A crazy siging to be honest, I just don't see him getting ready to knuckle down and back up his overinflated ego.

Re: Mario Balotelli
I really want to like him beacause i do believe he will be immense, but the more i see him, the more he is beginning to piss me off. I'm not sure whether his temperment can be sorted out with us, he just seems to get winded up too easily(a bit like some on 606).
Fingers crossed he knuckles down and shows us what he can do, but i'm not holding my breath.

Re: Mario Balotelli
Still yet to see any sign that he is worth £24M IMO...
I might be wrong but I don't see him as a regular for us next year (if he stays that is)..
Might be wrong though

Re: Mario Balotelli
He's worth it, he will start to score, he does make defenders work and creates gaps for others to play into. For all those who doubt just remember Ade, great on the odd ball but never ever created a space for another forward to move into. Balotelli tackles back which is more than Ade did and I think its frustration with nhimself as much as frustration with Refs and opposition backs.
He'll be fine when he gets up to speed and the press stop getting on his back. As I posted in that other place no one actually mentioned the sportsman like gesture towards the Notts count player who was injured. They didnt even show it on the highlights though funnily enough they did include the throwing of the snood.

Lee yeah mate I do see your angle, I agree that the negative media is hounding him into a bad boy bracket.
Like I said, I hope he does come good.

Re: Mario Balotelli
Mario is world class:
at being a petulant, whingeing, diving, sulking little twat.
Has shown glimpses of ability, and is great at penalties, but just gives up if things aren't going his way.
At the moment, he's an expensive luxury who brings little to the team.
At least Edin tries!

Re: Mario Balotelli
IMO he's a Pee taker, waste of money and a legend in his own mind.
Not really seen enough of him to comment on his skills but he sounds like another Mancini fancy boy along with the other no hoper Jo.
Before any comparisons with Jo, there are none. Jo is crap and will probably play tonight.

Re: Mario Balotelli
Hard to judge. Been out for a long time with two injuries......he looks like he is trying to hard (when he gets the ball).
Would like to see him have 6 or 7 starts in the team to make any judgement, however, not sure he fits in with BOTH Dezeko AND Tevez. 2 out of the 3 for me.

Re: Mario Balotelli
There's two games in which we can see his poor attitude:
First, against Everton. He limped around, clutching his thigh and moaning, while Zaba bled to death, chucking himself into challenges, winning balls and working hard.
Second, against Notts County. He was subbed after knocking heads with a Notts player (who went back on after a cold sponge), yet Vieira (a man almost twice his age) bled to death, getting stuck in, winning challenges and even using his bandaged head to win headers.
I know he's got dodgy knees and I know from first hand experience it's not fun. But if we can see players in the 60 shirt and a bandaged noggin outplaying him completely, then he clearly needs to raise his game.
