Besides Joe Root, are the rest really the best we have to offer?

Seriously, i wouldn't have had Cook, Morgan, Woakes, Stokes, Jordan and Gurney anywhere near the Cricket Club i used to play for.

Buttler, Tredwell, Hales and Taylor seem ok, and should be given more games on the trot imo.

Very poor and embarrassing team, led by a prick.

Cook and Root early on were woeful. They were scoring 1, maybe 2 an over for the first 11 overs.

No wonder Woakes has just got out having to force it.

Root still there, but running out of partners now still needing 11 per over.

Rubbish England....oh for a Peterson back.

Root was actually going at a run a ball and better.  It was cook who slowed up.  He had 20 off something like 25 balls then he crawled until he was out. Morgan was dire this series. The bowling us ok but the batting is awful. Hales has had a couple of chances and been crap.  Moeen is more miss than hit. Root has been the only dependable guy around. Roll on the world cup!
