Tony, he cites the reason for wanting out is homesickness with his daughters being back in Argentina.

So is someone going to stump up a load of money back in Argentina to get him? I don't think so, so realistically, it would mean a transfer elsewhere in Europe, which sort of flys in the face of his homesickness.

If he goes and plays back home, fair play to him and good luck, if he goes elsewhere in Europe, he can fuck right off and take his slimeball of an agent with him.

In either case, lets hope we get rid asap and move on.

Well, we apparently tried to swap him for Eto'o, or so they say!?
Plus this was on SSN and it's in the daily mail, it's probably just an old quote or a misquote, but like others have said, who can afford him? I thought we were going to let him go back in 2 years anyway?? Can't he wait?
I spent 3 months without seeing my son who was 6,000 miles away,(having the time of his life in Mauritius ) I saw him everyday on Skype, I coped, Tevez will be flying them over every few weeks anyway, 2 years will soon pass.
But are these new revelations another "come and get me" Plea??? Here we go again.... Who's gonna buy him??? FFS Carlos just change the record!!!

well if he is adamant then let him go and state clearly this is the selling price. as for wages if tevez is that keen to see his daughters then a pay cut at another club will be irrelevent, surely wages wouldn't cross his mind. Rolling Eyes

He's used the wife and daughters thing to death now. He probably wants to go abroad. Its got to be a combination of his agent stirring it up and the fact that he's just a journeyman - as someone on here mentioned.

Hope we get a replacement and let him sit on the bench - he can use his own money - then go where he wants. Thanks Carlos.

Accept £100k a week on a 4 year contract and show your family how much you love them. I'm sure Kia will go along with that idea.

Joorabchian gets a cut of the transfer fee not his wages. Tevez pays the agent a fee for his services. Joorabchian negotiates the deal. What i am saying Boris is that if home sickness the daughter thing and any thing else he has said is true it shouldn't matter to Tevez what he is being paid or what deal Joorabchian has negotiated for him.

City hold all the cards tho' contracted for several more years, as well the fact that Tevez would only need to be sold for the right price.
This is obviously Kia Jizobber's doing, Tevez isn't that eloquent, surrounded by yes men and little fuckers like Kia stirring shit constantly, City need to call his bluff and stand firm.... Again!

To be honest, as good a player as he has been for us, i think we actually played better as a team when he was injured and now i just want us to get rid asap and move forward and give Dzeko and Balotelli the opportunity to shine with Vinnie Kompany to be given what he should have already had, the captains armband.

Lets be honest, we all knew what he was about, he has never expressed any love for City, even though he always put in a shift and we all knew he would be off sooner, rather than later, his past shows this.

Cheers, Carlos and thanks for all the goals, now just fuck off and moan somewhere else and leave us to our bright blue future.

Post by Bewar3them00n Tue Jul 05, 2011 12:21 pm

Initially, I felt a chill when I read the new Tevez headline, a case of Cityitis creeping in again, but as many have said, he's a greedy fucker in front of goal sometimes, going for the expansive, when a simple lay off to a waiting player in a better position would suffice. And yes, we did play well without him, and it would give other strikers a chance to shine.
But the issue remains... where will he go? who can afford him? will he take 1/2 his salary to go to a native team in South America or Spain, Italy?
Is this another stunt to engineer a move? should we let him go to just get rid, or hold firm and do it on our terms? Is he trying to get a loan move to Real Madrid after seeing Ade there this season playing in the Classico's?
Personally, I think he's trying to destabalise City thru the media, like a petulant child stamping his feet and expecting to get what he wants, after being treated like a spoilt brat his whole time at City.
City should slap him hard across the back of the legs and sit him on the naughty step until he realises that he's being a little fucker and has calmed down, fine him a months wages ( that'll save a few quid, a £million or there abouts) wave the contract in his face and tell him we intend to hold you to it, and going on strike, acting like a spoilt little child isn't going to look good to any prospective new clubs who he's trying to attract.

Thery can't fine him just for wanting to leave and I reckon we'd accept £25 Million for him just to get him off the payroll. Unfortunately Kia Joorachbin won't let him take a huge drop in wages so maybe we should just put him in the reserves for a season and hope he lose his international place - That'd really piss him off.

It seems Tony and I have been the only blues not forgiving him for the January saga, the guy is a cunt, has no respect for the club, he plays well for himself, to engineer another move and play for his country.

There is a solution , buy aguero and let him rot in the reserves. See how he likes that. Im sorry but we hes to make a stand.
Why did mancini get rid of ade and bench many players for mouthing off to the press but has double standards for this cunt.

Ps please dont let sneijder go to the rags, prefer him to nasri.

Most people look for an excuse to forget the contribution Bellers and Ade made the season before last, they suddenly became either lazy or disruptive.

Carlos Tevez Empty From The Guardian

Post by Boris Tue Jul 05, 2011 4:30 pm

Carlos Tevez Carlos-Tevez-of-Mancheste-007
Did Carlos Tevez realise that Manchester
City had just announced Gaël Clichy as their first summer signing? Did
he care? Photograph: Aflo/Rex Features

First things first, it does not necessarily follow that just because Carlos Tevez
has clicked his fingers he will get his way. It will still need a
potential buyer to find a transfer fee in the region of £50m, as well as
the small matter of a £250,000-a-week salary, and there aren't too many
clubs out there with that kind of financial muscle, particularly when
you factor in X amount for Kia Joorabchian, the Mr Percentage loitering
in the background. But at least we know for certain now. Tevez wants out of Manchester City
and, if it is all starting to sound vaguely familiar, it is because he
sent a similar swarm of locusts heading towards Eastlands last December. On
that occasion he blamed the club's executives, saying their
relationship had "broken down and is beyond repair" and becoming, in the
words of Noel Gallagher, "the first person to want to leave a football
club because he didn't like someone in the office".This time,
Tevez has gone for a new strategy, talking of wanting to see more of his
daughters, Florencia and Katia, by playing in Spain or Italy, on the
basis their mother, Vanessa, would be happy to move there from Buenos
Aires. "Living without my children in Manchester has been incredibly
challenging," he says. "I hope that the people understand the difficult
circumstances I have been living under for the past 12 months, in
regards to my family."When a man talks like that it can make you
feel a little uncomfortable, grubby even, questioning his motives. But
it is when you gauge the reaction at City that you quickly realise the
level of scepticism, and that nobody is weeping for the Argentinian
inside a club where they have learned the hard way of his remarkable
capacity for attaching a cloud to every silver lining. No, it is a
reaction of weary disdain from the FA Cup winners and, in some
quarters, open contempt – and this, remember, from a club who have
coddled Tevez to the point of risking their own credibility at times.
One story is of Mancini allowing Tevez four days off last season –
initially three until Tevez asked for another day – so he could fly to
Buenos Aires to spend time with his family. The club later discovered he
went on holiday to Tenerife instead.Mancini, like everyone else
at City, has largely been willing to allow these things to pass because
he decided long ago that Tevez, like all the best players, was worth the
hassle. We are talking, after all, about the only man to make the
Professional Footballers' Association player-of-the-year shortlist for
the last two seasons, someone who in that time has scored or set up 42%
of his team's league goals. There are very few strikers anywhere in the
world with his ability to make things happen, trouble opposition
defences, shield the ball, run with it, harass and menace, and chase and
fluster. Nobody should lose sight of the fact that the good outweighs
the bad when it comes to the small, scarred, jagged-toothed Carlos
Alberto Tevez – even if it is a close-run thing sometimes. So why
now? What possessed Tevez, currently in the Copa América, to choose this
moment? City's suspicion is that it could mean Tevez and the
ever-present Joorabchian have another club lined up, with all the riches
that would incorporate for both men.Otherwise, the club are
perplexed by the timing of Tevez's latest statement, released on Monday
night on what was supposed to be a good-news day. Did Tevez realise that
City had just announced Gaël Clichy as their first summer signing? Did
he care? The real issue is of what happens next and, within the
club, there is certainly not the sense of crisis that descended upon
Eastlands the last time. There will be no retaliatory statements, no one
will be rushing out to South America to try to talk him round. The
stance remains the same: Tevez will not be sold unless someone offers
the right amount and, in many ways, City hold the aces here, with the
player under contract to 2014 and earning the kind of money (his
contract dictates he is always the best-paid player at City) that is
prohibitive to so many clubs.Nonetheless, this still represents a
telling moment for City in a summer that has had other difficulties for
Mancini, already frustrated by the new restrictions placed on him by
Uefa's financial fair play guidelines. Tevez may be high maintenance but
he is also high quality and if he were to leave, it is not alarmist to
say it threatens to be a potentially fatal blow to the club's chances of
competing for the league title. Tevez's longest spell without a goal
for the club over two years is eight games. In total, he has accumulated
53 goals in 86 appearances. Mancini has never once accepted the theory
it would be better all round to let him go.And yet there is a
difference between being a brilliant footballer and a brilliant football
man and at City, there is undoubtedly the sense of a club growing weary
of his games, the politics, the baggage, the mistruths (Tevez, for the
record, doesn't have a direct line to Sheikh Mansour), the sense that he
may be easily influenced and allow decisions to be made on his behalf. It
is certainly a strange set of events, for example, that the captain of a
football club who have just won their first trophy for 35 years should
have to be badgered even to attend the trophy parade. Tevez, to give him
his due, did cancel the flight he had booked to Argentina to join in
City's celebrations but it was not until a few hours before the event
(after City had let it be known he would be fined) that the club found
out he would be involved. There is also clear evidence of his
popularity diminishing in the dressing room. It was not a mutiny, but a
delegation of three players felt strongly enough to approach Mancini in
the spring and let him know they did not want Tevez to captain the side
if he returned next season. Vincent Kompany would be the popular choice.Tevez
has had a nomadic career, now looking for his sixth club in seven
years, and there is a feeling at City, and before then at Manchester
United, that the 27-year-old will always think the grass is greener
somewhere else.Vanessa, we are told, disliked Manchester
intensely when she was living in the city, and would not contemplate a
return. Tevez, whose level of English is mediocre and at a standstill,
has also run down Manchester, describing it as "small and rainy" with
"only two restaurants".The Manchester Evening News, rather
pathetically, responded with their "Stick With Us, Tevez" petition
urging him to stay, but this was the tipping point for many City
supporters, the moment they started to wonder whether enough was enough
and there was only so much leeway that could be afforded one man.
Mancini, on the other hand, has always maintained that Tevez will stay.
He may well be right, but what kind of footballer would City be getting
next season? Tevez would effectively be returning to Carrington with one
hand tied behind his back – and the other on speed-dial to Joorabchian.

Carlos Tevez Empty Re: Carlos Tevez

Post by shakencity Tue Jul 05, 2011 4:53 pm

Jesus Boris, too much to read for me there fella but this is my take on things.

The club have done exactly what i hoped they do. They've said he can go but ONLY if his market value is met by the purchasing club. Let's hope the stand firm with this statement and not let go on the cheap (less than £50m). At the end of the day, NO player is bigger than the club, so if he don't want to play, then let him go.

Tevez has quite obviously wanted to go to Spain for a while now and not back home to Argentina to his family, in all honesty his reasons for leaving are getting boring now. Imo another striker is now a must, as we can't rely on Balo and Dzeko doing the business up top.

Anybody who is made the captain of city, on a massive wage should have the decency to fucking appreciate it.
Since the day he said he wanted to leave in January I have not been able to utter his name. Since then he has been 'the ugly, greedy, argentine wanker' to me.
I don't want him at my great club - no matter how he plays.
He has not been fit to wear the shirt. City are bigger than this little twat.
Everybody told me that I would be chanting his name again when he bangs in a few goals. Bollocks to that!
Hated him since the day he insinuated we weren't good enough for him.

The way he's treated the club is a disgrace but I still think there's a lot happening or has happened that isn't in the public domain.

Nothing will change my opinion of him as a player and I'll reserve full judgement on him as a person until after he's moved on.

I still think Kia Joorachabin has orchestrated this whole saga and Tevez blindly follows his advice.

If your refering to my comment about the rags being right I wasn't actually agreeing with thier comments about the headless chicken because we all know he is a truly worldclass player.

I actually meant the comments off 606 and from all the rags I know that said he was nothing more than a money grabbing Bastard who would show is true colours and be gone within two seasons.

A truly great player but also one of the biggest cunts in the game. I don't know him but it feels like he's just ripped my fucking heart out after the proudest season of my lifetime.

IGK - I think he has ripped everyone's heart out. Hence all the abuse on this site. We are all gutted - and he is a truly great player - he just doesn't have any allegiance to us or anyone for that matter. He's obviously not too smart if he thinks we have fallen for this ruse (again) and like you say, is blindly following his agent's wishes.

Anyone who doubts his footballing ability is a total idiot, that's why the rags are an embarassment to the world.

I'm not defending Tevez and there's no way back after that statement but it's the actual stetement that intrigues me.

It was obviously written by his agent and all that bullshit about great club, great fans were put there to given the impression he's reluctant to leave, but....

...It does not state that he wants to go back to South America. He said his wife can't settle in Manchester, not England and while he's busy setting up charities for street kids in Beunos Aires he's talking about £7 Million houses here as if he's part of the aristocracy.

I still think his agent is after one last big payday before he drops him like a stone and my real fear is that he (or Kia) will try and put off potential targets from joining us.

It was obvious to those inside City (Mancini et al) that it was only a matter of time before he pulled another stunt like this, hence the attemPted Eto'o swap.
Reading the growing list of piss takes by Teves in the Guardian article, it just makes that the last straw, Kompany captain, and an example made of Tevez, I think for football's sake we need to hold him to his contract, even wantWay players like Cesc and Modric have respected their current clubs, and have heaped praise on manager and collegues, Tevez has just shown utter contempt for City.... The more I think about it now, the more I want him gone. Little fuckwit

Ah, young Vince. So the rumours that you were languishing in a Turkish prison were untrue then.

I would never be as deluded as the rags to say that he was a crap player - it's obvious to us all that he was (is) a hell of a player. Nevertheless, I stick by my previous comments that he isn't fit to wear the shirt anymore.
When he first spouted his bollocks about not wanting to be City captain, the first thing I thought was 'imagine him walking into an early 70's City changing room and telling everyone that the job and money wasn't good enough for him!'
Now that would've been interesting!!
Anyway, that's my last word on the subject.
I'm packing my suitcase and heading for a long weekend in Hull, heyho!

Think it was the team in general that was booed, as they got outplayed by Columbia (i think) but scraped a goal-less draw.
