Team for Barca
Most of us couldn't really give two shits, but, for a bit of fun, here goes...
Hart
Sagna, Mango, Dimi, Clichy
Navas, Lampard, Silva, Milner, Barker
Aguero
Komoany, Yaya and Nasri can do one for me. We need players that will roll their sleeves up and work hard for the team.

Re: Team for Barca
How about this team
Dowd
Book Heslop Oakes Sear
Bell Doyle Hertford
Summerbee Lee Tueart
This lot wouldn't wonder round the field like they were too good to be there

Well i certainly hope the players are giving a shit, as i'll still be hoping they win and go through, so will the thousands of City fans going over there.....i give a shit too.
We all know it's going to be a tough ask, probably even moreso after the Burnley debacle, but we live in hope.
I'd start:
.................Hart
Zab.....Vince......Dimi.....Clichy
............Fernandinho
Navas....Yaya....Silva....Milner
.............Aguero

Not sure Jovetic or UEFA would be too pleased including Barker in the CL squad.

he's from the youth, doesn't need to be included as part of the squad was my take on it?

Re: Team for Barca
Id go with Den's team with Milner virtually attached to Messi's arse for 90 minutes & Dino no more than 10 feet away in case Messi does slip past him
I know they're not a 1 man team but I reckon we keep Messi quiet we cut the supply to the rodent Suarez we are in with a slim chance
But as that wont happen and the idiot MP will probably have 2 up front & Milner not even on the bench I predict a good hiding for us. 4-0 or similar

It won't happen but
hart
Sagna
Demichelis
Mangala
Kolorov
Fernando
Fernandinho
Toure
Silva
Milner
Aguero
Is what I would go for. Navas for Fernando at the hour mark.

Re: Team for Barca
The problem I have is that I don't think playing either Fernando/Ferdy or TLMLF/Fernando/Ferdy as 2 CDMF's works.
I think the only way to overcome Barca in their own back yard will be to change the formation and tactics.
We all know they like to play 'inside', not out wide, so we need a formation that accommodates making them go outside.
For me, I'd like him to try something like this:
..................................Hart.........................................
Zaba....................Vinny.........DeM....................Clichy...
...........Milner...........Fernandinho.............Kolorov........
....................TLMLF........................Silva....................
....................................Aguero...................................

Re: Team for Barca
I think it would work as a three and just have one as cdm (Fernando), then fernandinho more as a standard cm. That way, Toure should be up around busquets. Killing them at source is the key for me.
Milner couldn't cope at all in the first leg, id play him wide as part of a front three or not at all.

Re: Team for Barca
Clichy is suspended after the sending off from the first leg so I would be tempted to play Sagna at left back rather than the useless bone-idle fucker kolorov
Hart
Zabaleta Demichellis Mangala Sagna
Milner Fernandinho
Nasri Yaya Silva
Aguero

Re: Team for Barca
What does it matter what the starting 11 are, the team will always reflect the managers personality and we have a manager who is so cool and laid back he belongs in the 60's. And his teams will always play that way.
We need someone who not only knows how to manage the lazy B'stards of this world but also has a bit of self belief and passion.
Until then we will always be 2nd best to anyone that wants to have a go.
