Re: Living Wage Campaign: Manchester City facing fans' pressure to name date and pay all staff enough to cover basic living costs
Well, that was inevitable. Every PL club is going to make a substantial sum from the new TV deal, but it's only us that are getting a caning over it, despite the fact we're the only club facing FFP sanctions and are therefore the least able to actually hit this target.
And what about every other organisation that falls foul of this very simple premise, that everyone who works should get at least enough to actually live on?
There's a simple answer to this one, though: Get every player to donate 1% of their wage every week to help pay for those who are on shit money. They won't miss this money. 25 players on an average of £100k per week is £25k of free money, which would comfortably pay 89 people to work a 35 hour week at £8 per hour.

Great idea leo, but the players would never agree to it.
Expect your seasonticket price to rise before anything else.

Yes, Shaken, I expect you're right. Just keep screwing the fans, when the playboy millionaires on the pitch could afford it easily.
Tell you what, the club would think twice if we all decided not to turn up.
