Pellegrini

It's looking more and more likely that Pellegrini will be gone come the summer. I hope this is not the case, as I have come to know Manuel personally over the last couple of months, as well as his family. But it does seem that arrangements are being made for the Pellegrini family (his wife isn't over here, but is sons and grandchildren are) for them to move back home to Chile come the end of the season. Pellegrini has one year left on his contract, and he intends to see it out, but it's looking like the decision to replace him has already been made.
That begs the question - who is to replace him? Viera has been touted as a long term successor and the person who is to eventually become manager, but it's too early for him. Ancelotti has been mentioned, but this depends on his situation in Madrid. And there are rumours that the club want Guardioli, although from my understanding this is unlikely to happen. So who does this leave?
Well, pretty much no one in my opinion - certainly no one who is better equipped than the people we already have at the club. I, personally, hope the club does stick with Pellegrini.

Might have been more plausible if he actually spelt Pep's name correctly.

I was the trying to point out that the whole thread was interesting - some excellent points made by some City and non City fans. No need to be a smart arse.

Ripley is a well liked poster who does not tend to wum he is more of the melton style poster, factual & likes a good debate. I can honestly say I would believe him over a lot of idiots on ja606.

Exactly Oz - that's why I posted it. He's been a great poster for 10 years now - and some of Melton's comments (and Boris's and Grated Bean's) were worthy of a read.

I remember Ripleys from 606, he was always one of the more thoughtful posters there (not that he had much competition!) I've not been on JA606 for a very long time, I'll have to check this thread out.

Sorry Wensdi....I didn't mean it to have a go. I used to go on Ja606 quite a bit, but the wumming got to a point that spoilt genuine articles and discussions.

Re: Good thread on JA606
You're forgiven. There is so much wumming on JA606 - but there are some good City posters also.
I hope we keep Nasri - I don't understand why he's suddenly "rubbish" - Dzeko, Jovetic and Kolarov - can go for me.

Re: Good thread on JA606
I don't think Nasri is rubbish. I think he obviously has an attitude, but when he's on his game, he's excellent.
Problem is, I don't think MP has man-managed him well.
He hit top form 2 months ago after his injury....then got dropped. Since then, he's become a bit part player. I'd be pissed off as well.
Don't think MP has clue to be fair...and last season was nothing but pure luck.
Sad to hear the rumours that the players think he's a soft touch...that opinion doesn't exist at any of the TOP TOP clubs.
To play Dzeko in a 4-4-2 away from home at Palace over Nasri in a 5 man MF said it all to me.

Re: Good thread on JA606
There's been a few comments about getting rid of Nasri on this forum and JA606 - just saying that I would rather keep him. We know what he's capable of - we've seen it.
We'll have to wait and see what happens now - I don't think MP will get the shove until the end of the season - unless they finish second although Ripley's Cat thinks he will and I definitely take note of his posts.
