Re: Fantasy Football
AMDP - i used to have stephen ireland in my team a few years back when he was good.
i think i even had some plonker upfront who either couldn't hit a barn door with a banjo or couldn't get a game. can't even remember his name, he was that rubbish!

Re: Fantasy Football
SWP was always a regular, until his move to Chels, i always picked Dunnie as well, even though half his goals were through our net Good thing about this game is you get to do transfers every week, and you can spend your own points on them, any injuries and bans ar'nt a problem, just be carefull you dont do what i did last year, every time i replaced a player they scored a hat trick the next week

Re: Fantasy Football
I had Aguero on my team as captain and then it was announced he wouldn't play, so I switched him for Dzeko and used the difference to bring in Rooney. Yes, yes, I know, but I figured he'd score against the Baggies.
On the 57th minute, I thought it would all pay off.
And then the 59th minute I was a bit concerned.
Ten minutes later and I was wondering if maybe I'd been a bit hasty.
By full time, I was kicking myself.
Fucksticks

Having Aguero as Capt would have been a massive gamble though. Nobody had any idea how long Mancini was gonna give him.

Re: Fantasy Football
Very true. It would've been a big risk, but then I'd had Hart as my vice captain and I'd have had Luis Sanchez, who scored anyway and, erm, missed a penalty...
My biggest headache though was picking Gabbidon. I'd thought QPR would give Bolton a game, not capitulate so spectacularly. Minus two! If I'd picked Shawcross instead (who I left out thinking Chelsea would do them) I'd have got 9 more points.

Re: Fantasy Football
It's all ifs and buts.
I left Cahill on the bench (13pts) but luckily Nelsen never played.
Do i leave him there this week with Aguero on fire?lol

Re: Fantasy Football
I had a struggle too Moony, i did'nt get a single goal. I wont have any rag cunts in my team so i missed out on a few points, and had no room for Edin, they should just let us put the whole City team in instead of 3 max. Would'nt be much of a competition though as we are a fantasy team already . Oh well its early days.

Re: Fantasy Football
PPLF, I switched Edin for Serge after the Swansea performance. And I even considered switching them for last week and decided against it. Bad move all round. I'm going to stick with Serge for a couple more weeks now and see if things pick up. He can't not score for much longer. A hatful against the piemunchers will be helpful!
Still, I got a healthy score this week - Holt came off the bench and donated his goal, Bosingwa put one away, and my faith in Ashley Young paid off again. Oh, and that ugly, balding, jug-eared scouser chipped in with a few as well. Makes up for the disaster of last week.
(Yes, I know picking rags is a bit much, but I want to win this league and I'm not going to do it with Van Pussy )

Re: Fantasy Football
well I managed to outscore her (only just) should have seen her face drop when I told her penalty misses cost points.
I've also had to scupper 8 points to make some more team changes this week in my quest for fantasy football world domination...

I was going to sacrifice a few points aswell Moony, but i wanted to change so many i ended up using my wildcard already. I bet Wenger wishes he could use one in real life.
