Just watched the game. We won 7-6 on pens Joe hart scoring the winner but an eventful match with the talking point will be all about Balotelli!
He was through 1 on 1 with the keeper Dzeko to his right... so he could of shot or passed for an easy goal but he decided to showboat and made a right cock of himself.
Mancini went mad on the line and took him off straight away.
Kompany had an ice pack on his knee hope thats just a precaution and not serious, Clichy took a bang to the head and missed the 2nd half. We should of wrapped it up 1st half and in the last minute when Gudetti blasted over from inside the 6 yard box.
All in all a good run out a win (gudetti and Lescott missed) but IMO we still need a striker. Hopefully to be resolved this week.

Only saw the 2nd half and we looked like we did for a lot of last season. Just doing enough to win. Having said that, it was a slightly different team in the 2nd half.

Weiss didn't get enough time, hopefully he will in the Dublin Cup.

Guedetti really had a great opportunity to put himself in the shop window but skied what should have been a tap in and he was mental with himself.

Missing the penalty just added salt to his wounds.

We looked better in the 1st half but the big concern will be what to do with mad man Balotelli?
Agree with Weiss not getting enough time, but the players are getting sharper and fitter.
