Calling All Blues With Facebook

Get on the Official Manchester City Facebook Page as soon as you can, and vote on the song to be played as the players walk out onto the pitch in the second half. There's some decent choices, Joy Division, Oasis, The Smiths, Arcade Fire, but one song, and one song alone is leading the pack by a mile:

Action must be taken to make sure this song doesn't win, and whoever listed it as an option in the first place needs a slap and the sack.

Joy division - Yes
Oasis - Yes
Smiths - No (even though I like them as a band)
Anything else - NO

There are so many good bands from manchester, why do we need to have mutd supporters or rubbish?

Much as I love Joy Division, I can't envisage any of their songs being 'anthemic' enough for our boys to enter the arena to.
I reckon 'All you good good people' by Embrace would be pretty cool.... shame they're from Huddersfield

They had the vote at midday on the Monday of a school holiday, what did they think would happen other than a bunch of 14 year olds voting for a trashy generic r&b artist that won't even be recognised in the music industry by the time we play his song for the last time in May next year.

Plus he's a Gooner!

If City do this they best buy Nasri this week, 25m for us all being force fed that shite 19+ times over the next year sounds like a fair deal to me.

Enough of us complained on the City facebook page the other day and it's been pulled and replaced with a new vote entirely made up of songs by Manc bands.
