Launch of our new website

Doing this business with a buddy. Still some work needed on the site, but I just wanted to get it out there in a reasonable state to try and get some business for this summer. I'm looking to do the bookings and send him out working!

Please give as much feedback as you can. Criticism appreciated!!!

Interesting idea.

OK...just my own feedback.

The overall theme screams fun.

Home Page: great image, make it brighter. Looks like a storm is on its way to that party.
The black frame doesn't do anything for me. It's fun, use a brighter, lighter frame or lose the frame altogether. The pictures good enough, let the viewer see more of it.

About Us: again, the black background doesn't scream fun. I'd definitely use a lighter coloured background or use another photo as part of the full screen and dark writing if need be. The picture loads slowly to full resolution.
The text is very small - what text are you using?
Creatively thinking - maybe have some quotes in 'bubbles', as that's your theme.

WHAT WE OFFER: same comments as above. The text is even smaller on this page.

WORKSHOPS: as above, but on this page there a lot of background space on the screen and very little information about the Workshops.

WEDDINGS: as above.

GALLERY: you've got some really good images here that scream fun, something different. Use them on your pages.

TESTIMONIALS: sorry, don't like this page. The text isn't great. A picture of the Eiffel Tower could be replaced by The Etihad and Wigan Warriors....just ensure copyright is attributed.

CONTACT: probably one of the best photos you have and it's used on the Contact page...tut tut.

Don't wish to be brutal, I know how long it takes to do your own website.
But overall, I think you've got a great theme and idea, but the website currently, doesn't reflect the fun of it.

What web designer are you using - ie WordPress etc?

I think with a few tweaks, a little more creativity...it wouldn't take long to really make it 'wow' and make people read on.

Oh....maybe create a logo.

Bubble next to your logo, or your logo within a bubble. Keep the colour of the text and bubble the same throughout the website.

It's free and intuitive, selecting templates and pictures that suits your needs. It may be worth spending a little more time getting it the best you can, before you launch it - as it may bring in more business.

The text isn't complete yet and I've got to get more photos of Paris for the pages.

I'll put some sliders on the pages so that I can utilise more of the good photos rather than leave them for the gallery which, I'm sure, people will stop scrolling down after maybe 15-20 photos.

I'm trying to get a balance between chic/sophistication (Paris) and fun (kids going crazy). 

Might switch the contact us page photo for the homepage.

I looked at squarespace, but it had problems downloading the images and kept crashing, even when the images were less than 5MB. IMXPRS needs images less than 5MB too. My mate has used WIX and you can download images of up to 20MB which does save you plenty of time as I'm having to downsize most of my pictures.

Yeah, of course...just didn't know how much you wanted to spend. 

I used Wix to build the last website - it was £7 per month to host our domain and gave you Premium access to web templates.

I like the home page picture, it's just dark. Can it be lightened?

The Contact Page image though - says everything about your name.

Personally, a template like thse would suit your theme better.

I don't mind spending the money to have the webpage just as our, rather than IMXPRS or WIX etc.

I quite like that first example template.

I'll try and play with the homepage picture to try and make it lighter or just using the Eiffel Tower photo instead.

Since I haven't shelled out any hard cash, I have to decide between starting again with another host or working on this to make it better.

I'd do whatever it takes to make it 'right', which in turn, will bring in more business.

I was hoping the website would be reasonable enough to be touting for business.

I need to do some video as well for the work we do indoors (got stacks on youtube for outdoors work). Just got some raw video from the girl that worked on a show for us last month so have to sort that out soon.
