Re: Sergio charged by the FA
"Sergio Aguero has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video.
"The Manchester City forward was involved in an incident with West Ham United’s Winston Reid in the 76th minute of the game on Sunday (28 August 2016).
"He has until 6pm on Wednesday 31 August to reply.
"Off the ball incidents which are not seen at the time by the match officials are referred to a panel of three former elite match officials.
"Each panel member will review the video footage independently of one another to determine whether they consider it a sending-off offence.
"For retrospective action to be taken, and an FA charge to follow, the decision of the panel must be unanimous."

Re: Sergio charged by the FA
I don't mind the ban....as long as Mariner never refs another PL game in his life.
What an absolute cNut!!
Refs are such fuckwits, with no bollocks whatsoever.
How any professional - can say "I didn't see it" with a straight face is beyond me. He's simply a lying fucker....which rankles even more.

If he really didn't see it, he should be removed from the elite panel.

Aguero deserved to be sent off during the match and he'd have missed the next game anyway.

Do you think he'd start Itchy or go for another MF?

Re: Sergio charged by the FA
Seriously, who watches the watchers?
There’s no way in anyone’s book that a professional referee can bare faced say he did not see the incident when video footage clearly shows him seeing the incident, and from no more than a few feet away with nothing obstructing his view. Surely Marriner will get carpeted for that – to offer a blatant lie rather than explain his inaction.
No complaints with Sergio ban; he threw an arm at an opponent – done and done. The only thing I can say is it being out of character for him. Maybe the FA will take that into account and apply common sense when it comes to length of ban.
Wait, did I just write ‘FA’ and ‘common sense’ in the same sentence…

Re: Sergio charged by the FA
the fa should call for video evidence of the referees position to see if the referee bis deemed to be bringing the game into disrepute by lying. this is exactly the same scenario as howard webb when he said he never saw the incident where balotelli stamped on scott parkers head.
