Those stats....he's been involved in 3 more goals and assists than after 33 games than last year. 20 as opposed to 17. That's not that much. He does look better though.

He does look better than last season but he's 'only' contributed 3 more assists and goals after 33 games this year than he did last year. (20 vs 17).

He needs to do it for a few seasons to start with and needs to continue to get better. It also helps that Sane is on the other wing rather than Navas as this stretches the game benefitting Raheem.

I think it's fairly simple....he's being played on the right wing and told to just attack at will. He was accommodated on the left wing for large portions of last season which we all said was bonkers (whether some liked him or not).

With Sane playing wide left, his pace forces their defenders back, which means Raheem is now picking the ball up from much deeper and is allowed to run at their LB's.

I admin he is much better on the right and our wingers are a real asset.  The only thing he needs is a decent shot.  He's fine when it a tap in, and I know the Gooners was a decent goal but sometimes a rasper from the edge is needed.

Don't think he'll ever be one with a rasping shot.....he's more into these type of goals...

How did Navas not score the last goal? Really poor.
