Probably because the Mendy deal has stalled...probably using the rumours for Bertrand as well to make him and his agent speed things up.

Problem is...clubs now have seen the money we have spent on Silva and the money we're going to sign Ederson for, so they can throw spanners in the work to get a higher fee.

I wouldn't worry though, I'm sure they'll push through the moves within the next 2 weeks.

I'm sure we are on top of stuff too but things aren't exactly going to plan with Mendy and Van Dijk. Levy will play hardball with Walker so it could be a long old summer coming up.
