Jason Denayer unhappy with City

Club vetoed a move to Lyon and are practically forcing him to go to Girona because of their links with the club.

Also unhappy that he was sent to Sunderland last season on the last day of the window.

Can't say I blame him.

yep if he is not wanted just let him go.

But they don't want to let him go.

Sunderland was a shitty move for him. They were always going to struggle on only Pickford has come out of the season with any credit (and a bumper mover to Everton where, I'm sure, he won't be viewed as a £30M goalie).

He's 23 now and I'm pretty sure he won't be coming back to City. I think the club want to help Girona and then either transfer him there or sell him on for decent money afterwards.

The way transfer fees currently are, a decent season for him and they could get upwards of £15M for him.

Sadly, players are the property of the club, somit makes a change from players holding all the power.
Likewise, when they do the opposite to the club, people moan about that.

I don't think Denayer's attitude has helped him with the hierarchy.

That is surprising you are right Blue, you would have thought the Belgium link with Vinnie would have had some influence.  Vinnie is the model professional.

I think he's rightly pissed off. He signed the contract a couple of years ago with the apparent promise of more first team opportunities. After his stint at Celtic, you'd have thought he'd have had those opportunities. Didn't we sign MDM forcing Jason to go on loan? Or Mangala?

I think we already had them, and then we got Otamedi when Valencia couldn't afford to pay for Negredo.

So he was set for some 1st team so maybe he was let down a bit.   Still a bit petulant though.

Cant blame him at all. He's been pushed from pillar to post thinking he had a future at City but virtually no youngsters have a future at City it seems
