Re: Danilo?????
I read that he can also play left back so very versatile. 4 quality full backs who can rotate at the business end of the season when we play every 3 games has got to be the number one priority. He's 26 so will have some staying power although he might have been 2nd choice its Real we are talking about so he must have something about him.

Re: Danilo?????
apparently was highly thought of at Porto which prompted the move to Real. Didn't stand out at Real by all accounts and Fans were getting on his case. An injury to contreao gave him a chance which he took apparently and ended up as first choice for the remainder of the season. Has the potential but we don't seem to have much luck with ex Porto players Fernando, Mangala & to a lesser extent Otamendi, Lets hope he is a good signing if we get him.

'Danilo's one option that we have. He's a Real player. We are talking with three or four players to try to join us. Not only for next season, but for the next three to five years.'
Guardiola praised the impact of new goalkeeper Ederson and dismissed suggestions Claudio Bravo could depart this summer.
Leicester City target Kelechi Iheanacho has been left in Manchester as he sorts out a £25m switch away.

Man City are spending €35million on a defender who couldn’t get into Real Madrid’s team
City are reportedly closing in on the signing of Danilo from Madrid, which will be their second major output on a right-back

Man City’s quest to build an entire squad out of right-backs is gathering pace.
Brazilian defender is set to move from Real Madrid to Manchester for a €35million fee, according to Di Marzio.
The bid comes a week after City signed Kyle Walker from Spurs, in a deal that saw the defender become the most expensive Englishman of all time.

Which way is Manchester mate?
City were in desperate need of right-backs heading into the transfer window, with Pablo Zabaleta and Bacary Sagna both leaving the club.
They had been close to tying up a deal for former Juventus defender Dani Alves before he chose to sign for Dani Alves.
Clearly not willing to stray too far from their original targets, City have now seemingly gone from Dani to Danilo.

He’s flexible, if nothing else
The 26-year-old joined Madrid from Porto in the summer of 2015, but struggled to overcome competition from Dani Carvajal.

Last season he played 17 times in La Liga and three times in the Champions League, but spent most of the campaign warming the bench.
He was also able to play left-back when required, which will suit Pep Guardiola’s love of tactical flexibility.

Who fancies a move to the Etihad?
The big question now is how Guardiola will go about fitting two right-backs into his team?
Judging by last season he’ll play one up front and one in goal, with a further right-back signing playing as a false nine.

What could Danilo bring to fantasy football?
- Buccaneering right back hungry for assists
- 7.41 rating on WhoScored last seaon – fourth highest Real Madrid player, above Luka Modric and James Rodriguez
- 1 goal and 2 assists from 17 starts in La Liga
- Think he’d be a fantasy football asset? Sign up to play Dream Team now

Pretty typical of most if the press lining up to have a go
Every other signing other clubs make are obviously good signings

Re: Danilo?????
Personally if we get the full backs sorted out I'll be really happy with transfer window. keeper upgrade & Bernardo Silva for that extra attacking edge fills pretty much all the wholes although I wonder if we are short on the defensive midfielder front

Re: Danilo?????
Since we are getting quite a few players, especially in our problem areas, it would be daft not to go out and get another top CB. If Mbappe becomes available, we'd be prepared to bid £100M+ for him, so we've defo got the funds and FFP is covered.

Re: Danilo?????
What if Pep goes 3 at the back which is what I suspect is what he wanted to do last season? Think we are well covered then for the CB position. I just dont see that we need another striker with Kun & Jesus plus a whole lot of other attacking options when Pep seems to prefer the lone striking role.

I wouldn't have an issue with Aguero playing up top flanked by Mbappe and Jesus

If Neymar goes to PSG, Barcelona will go all out for Mbappe. Can't see him coming to City this season.

Jesus, that's frightening. £196m transfer fee. £45m signing on fee. £596k per week tax free. Football really has gone bonkers.

well, we suffered. We'd have more world class players at city now if it weren't for FFP
