First topic message reminder :

Only a couple of weeks until the Premier League kicks into life again, so best get cracking 

Same Rules as Before:

5 Points for a correct score and result on a City game.

3 Points for a correct score and result on all other games.

1 Point for a correct result regardless of score.

All predictions must be in before the first kick off of the weekend, editing up to kick off is OK but nothing after.

Also if you miss the Sat deadline you can submit any games not played that week as long as it is before their kickoff.

Not great scoring this week but Leo & Skyblueoz managed double figures, Leo helped by a CCS. Blistering guessed the City score also & maintains his lead at the top going into the international break

can you tell it's international break week?

Hate them with a passion. When I was a kid I remember really looking forward to internationals on a Wednesday evening,( usually on sportsnight. I guess with so much tv saturation & streamed games you can see the world stars on a regular basis which is why I think international football has lost it's appeal

and because we are shit

I hate International breaks...especially these bloody friendlies. Who cares about these 2 games...especially as we are 7 months away from the WC - like these friendlies are going to change any of Southgate's thinking or squad selection!

It doesn't have anything to do with us being shit we were pretty bad in the 70's not qualifying for 2 world cups in a row 74 & 78  but I used to enjoy watching some of the stars that were around then as they didn't feature in the English leagues & the European cup wasn't a fortnightly event. Even after the world cup of 78 when spurs signed Ardiles & Villa & Ipswich got Thijsson & Muhren it was great to see these new foreign players in England and still enjoy the internationals. We didn't have 2 wait 2 weeks for the next league game either as the international was midweek & back to the league on Saturdays.

I still watch them, although didnt last night. I only look to see if we had no injuries to our City players which thankfully I think was the case yesterday.
I am usually disappointed with our performances. We dont really ever seem to move on with the way we play football. We have very few skilful players with the likes of Henderson  and Dier  the best we can come up with. Not sure if its even the lacklustre managers we have. There is just a lack of very good English players around. Our PL is mostly to blame as all the top teams have 9 or 10 foreigners in the 1st team.  As we can see at City none of the young up & coming English kids get a sniff at the top level.

I'll be watching the Republic tonight though as with Irish grandparents I can call myself part Irish & will probably get more excited than any recent English game.

Dawg had an excellent week with 12 points 
& Blistering had a great week with 14 points. Den & PPLF had an outstanding week with CCSs & 16 points in the bag but performance of the season so far with absolutely no thought put into it whatsoever is RayMCFC with an unbelievable 17 points for saying 2-0 to all home teams & 2-0 to City. Just shows that there's little point looking into it in too much depth
