Parking near the stadium? Empty Parking near the stadium?

Post by joeymancityz Sat Sep 24, 2011 9:38 am

Hi fellow blues,

I am coming over from the Costa del Cleethorpes next month for the Wolves game. Only this time, I'm bringing Mrs Joey and the kids for their 1st game (not Mrs Joey, she's been loads of times).

Normally when I go, I get the train into town, have a couple of scoops and walk to the ground, but with the family in tow, I don't think that's an option, and I don't think I'll be allowed to park outside the shop like we do when we're passing.

So, where is a sensible place to park near enough to the ground but not too far from the Mancunian Way?

Corner of Ashton Old Road and Alan Turing Way, huge car park for £5. It's about a 10 minute walk to the ground and basically a straight run to the Mancunian Way after the game.

Joey,

If you go up Ashton Old Rd towards Alan Turing Way, about 500yds shy of the lights (Seamark at lights) there's an industrial estate on the right. Turn right at these lights (just after the chinese wholesalers), you should be able to get "free" parking on there if you get there early enough. Failing that do as Boris says.

That's where I park now when I drive but if I was taking the family I'd pay on a car park for the peace of mind.
