Obviously i don't know him personally, but from what you see of Dzeko, he always comes across as an upbeat and decent sort of lad, so this strop was certainly out of character and i'm glad he has put it to bed straight away and apologised.

i agree, the guy looked very frustrated. he was on such a high after spurs and was dropped (rested) and hasn't been the same guy since.

he wants to score goals and is pissed off he didn't get the opportunity to play on and try to score. that's a good thing as long as it doesn't bubble over again.

dawg moral of the story is if your striker is on form DO NOT DROP (rest) him, just play him to the ground!

Since he was rested indeed he has lost his mojo!

I dont think many people get upset about players getting annoyed at being taken off. If they wernt upset then I would be worried, but being upset about having to go ON!!!!!

I suppose the sulks are dependent entirely on why the player is sulking about going off. If it's because he'd rather be playing then that's okay. If he's cursing himself for a performance so bad that the manager has spotted it and taken him off before he causes any more damage, then that's okay too - I'm sure most of us would curse ourselves for messing up. But, if he's snarling at the boss like a petulant child annoyed at their mum for calling bedtime, that's unacceptable.

I cannot see what the problem is. All it says to me is the guy was immersed in the game and was trying his best to get us back in the game . the manager subbed him, so chance gone , frustrations get the better. Rooney threw his shirt down when subbed in a champps league game the season before last, suarez v wolves last week angry when he was subbed , What is new?

Come on guys, for those who have played football - especially up front, if substituted at half-time or with anything like 3 mins to go, it's fucking annoying!

We see that disappointed on hundreds of occasions every season, boots being thrown to the ground, bottles being kicked or thrown - as Lee said, I'd more pissed off if he came off all too easily, laughing and joking at 2-0 down.

He is young, got bollocked, apologised and i guess you won't see that behaviour again this season!
