2 possible reasons (1) so we can recoup a small fee should we decide to sell him. (2) with all these rumours circulating about City being investigated by UEFA, FIFA and whoever else. We do not appear to be too vocal in the "outrage at the claims" department which may mean City are expecting something to happen. Should a transfer ban occur it maybe an insurance that we have cover.

Maybe Stones, Laporte, Vinny and even Dino all picking up injuries lately made him to decide to kept him....just in case.

He must be on around £150k week I would’ve thought so the best part of £8m extra in wages
