Rags v City
0-0 H-T. Their game plan seems to be the long ball over the top to Rashford, and a bit of nasty tackling. We were beginning to take control as the half ended.

Pretty much total control second half. Terrific stuff.

Chuffed with that. Great win for Wolves tonight which is good for us as the Dippers have them last game and they could be fighting for a Europa League place.

The team spirit is immense. Weathered a bit of pressure, but never looked phased.
Losing key players would have finished other teams, but we seem to thrive on it. Every player is stepping up to the mark when we need them.
Well done lads

Great performance. David Silva is a genius. Dictates the pace of the game. Such an intelligent player.

Re: Rags v City
Some idiot said that about Pogba in the commentary last night 'his greatest strength is his ability to slow the game and control the tempo'. But there's a gulf in the quality between him and David Silva. While pundits were looking for ways to praise Pogba, David was getting on with running the game as usual. Can't think of a better player that I've seen than him.

Think he'll be fine. I'm sure he could have come back on...Pep didn't want to take any risks.Nijinsky wrote:Any news on Ferdy?

And all the dippers are now saying that the rags threw the game because they don't want loserpool to win the league. Yeah, I'm sure they tossed away a chance at a top 4 place just to do you fuckers out of a cup Of course, it's bound not to be their fault, it's not like they threw away an 8 point lead or anything...

Re: Rags v City
Be interesting to see how easily they dispatch Huddersfield tonight, they have nothing to lose. Likewise I really hope Brighton get to safety soon to make the final game not mean anything to them, I think the dippers will have a tough game with Wolves just a shame they are at home.

Wolves beat them in the cup and are in good form. Hopefully they continue on their march to the Europa spot. Think Newcastle away sandwiched between the 2 Barca games will also be a good chance for the Dippers to drop points.

Can't see Rafa going balls out for the win though. He is still godlike in dipperland

Re: Rags v City
can see Liverpool resting players depending on barcalona 1st leg
. If they are well in the tie then a semi weakened team v Newcastle is a possibility. They treated wolves with contempt by playing a weakened team in The F.A cup and look what happened. The Wolves game will be different this time round as no way will Liverpool play a weakened team for the last game of the season. I believe Newcastle is our last hope of Liverpool dropping points.

Re: Rags v City
Well, the dippers bust a gut to try and stay in the first leg, so I suspect there will need to be changes for them against Newcastle. I'm hoping they'll try and make amends for the scoreline they went down to, which will only weaken them against Wolves, who are no pushovers and even if Europe isn't an option I can't see Santo letting them go on holiday a week early.
In a way, I'm glad we're not in the CL any more, as we can give our players a good week's rest between games, which will put us in a better position in our remaining two league games.

Re: Rags v City
Dippers had enough chances last night to still be in that game, bottled it big style. So nice to see.
I agree Leo, I've said for a long time CL was the one we didn't need to win. Domestic Treble is still outstanding and a real slap in the Rags face.

My only fear is that the dippers are so desperate for a premier league title they may even forego the champions league for it now they have to score 4 or more.

Re: Rags v City
they only need to score 3 if they want extra time....
problem for them is I can see Barca scoring, in which case they need 5...
2-nil or 3-1 would have suited better to keep their hope up and weaker team against newcastle.

We need to forget about the dippers though end of the day, win both our games and they can't catch us. I'm only worried about Leicester they are a bit of a bogey team, Seagulls will be safe before our game.

Easy to say though. But I don't think you'd be human if you didn't have one eye on what Liverpool were doing. After all it will be far more beneficial should they drop points. No way can we forget about them. As you say Scott Leicester is a tough game which is why we are looking at Newcastle to ease the pressure.

Seagulls now safe so they will be partying, Monday night wins it for me. We won't mention the latest dipper diving farce.
