Southampton v City
City languish in 9th. That game in hand that so many people talked about as if three points were guaranteed would only get us up to 5th or 6th (and that's assuming we win it). A title win looks far far away right now. Two points against ManU and WBA was pitiful. Southampton could do a number on us (again) and they are playing well enough to do that.
Pep needs to stop dicking around and play his best team.
Ederson
Walker, Stones, Dias, Cancelo
Fernandinho
KdB, Foden
Sterling, Delap, Torres

If all are fit, this is how I want us to start...got a sneaky feeling Aguero, Stones and Foden will though. Who knows!!

Why would you play Rodri? What does he actually bring to the table?

Hard work, missed chances at each end but the three points was all that mattered.

Well as I’ve just had the only plan I had for Christmas Day cancelled (and even that couldn’t involve my children), I really couldn’t give a rat’s arse about football at the moment.
What a ridiculous situation that it’s still going on.

Talked to friends in NZ last night. Almost normal (except for travel and shortage on a few items). They were going down to the beach. Economy seems to be on the up too, house prices rocketing. I watched some cricket on tv where there were thousands of spectators at the grounds in Australia and NZ.titbumwilly wrote:Well as I’ve just had the only plan I had for Christmas Day cancelled (and even that couldn’t involve my children), I really couldn’t give a rat’s arse about football at the moment.

Australia and NZ are comparatively much less populated countries and it's easier and quicker to lock down and minimize travel between states/regions.
My son lives in WA and they have had no cases in months. When the cases were increasing in neighbouring states, WA closed the border and prohibited all travel into or out of the state, this was easy to do because there is only one road into the state. Australia was also quick to ban all travel into and out of the country.
It's like comparing chalk and cheese comparing our situation to these countries, I'm sure Oz will correct me if i'm wrong.

no need to correct you at all mcm Australia took the tough decisions early. Even when other states were screaming at WA to open its borders our premier stuck to his guns. Then Victoria had a terrible second wave now we have new south wales firing up again all the while we in the west have been living as near to normal life as possible. The emphasis is still on social distancing where ever possible personal hygiene and above all doing the right thing. 2 idiots here thought breaking the 14 day entry and self isolate rule was ok to do, have now found the consequence is jail time and a hefty fine. When these idiots learn its not about them it is about the whole community the safer we will be. It looks like march 21 when we will start to roll out the vaccines.

I should also add we even closed borders within our own state . In the metro area we couldnt get further than Mandurah in the south and Bullsbrook in the north east. Yanchep in the North You would know those areas MCM.

Re: Southampton v City
It doesn't matter about the differences between countries and how easy or difficult it is. It's simply about doing the right thing. It might be much more difficult in the UK (why?) to close our borders. Most people who enter the UK arrive at one of the sea ports or airports or via the tunnel. Everyone who entered should have been forced into isolation for two weeks. Some countries make people stay in a hotel for two weeks (and the government don't pay for this). We could have done the same and, as we've seen last week, we had control over our own borders in order to do this.
Loads of countries have tried to do what it takes to look after their wellbeing of their citizens and keeping their economies ticking along.
