C'mon City
Right, I'm off to the US on Sunday, so will miss the last game and only find the result out when I land....and I'm sat next to and rooming with a Liverpool fan.lol
Fingers crossed the boys can slap Villa and bring home the 3pts and the title - stopping Liverpools "quad" quest in the process.
If there's one time I don't want to be let down, this is it, so c'mon City bring it home.

What a time to be missing a game. Still at least you wont have to deal with watching it if the old typical city rears its ugly head. i like you am hoping for a comfortable 3 points, but still know city never make it easy. This time we need to buck the trend and win comfortably with no uneccessary scares. Have a good trip.

Re: C'mon City
Already started with the nerves. 2 hours to go. So much at stake as we haven't won anything so far. Let's hope they want it as much as we do!! Come on City.

Im sure they do wensdi its just i can see 11 behind the ball villa and us trying to break them down. thats when the nerves kick in as the longer the game goes without a city goal ythe more tense it becomes. A nice 2-0 lead or more at half time then i will really be able to enjoyt it.

Re: C'mon City
Driving up through France, so got to follow on the radio.
I want a nice easy 7-1, but I know Gerrard will have them packing the defence and wasting time straight from the kick off,
We desperately need to score early.
C’mon City.

Re: C'mon City
Always have to do it the hard way - reminiscent of the 2012 final at 3-2. Best shot of the day was Milner's dejected face at full time. Thank God Pep took Ferni off - Zinky really played well and although Gundogan got the goals - Kevin's pass was fantastic. The heartbeat of the team.

Re: C'mon City
Did everyone see the game over there - except TBW and Shaken? Are they shown on Sky or another service? They are all on over here and probably in Australia but I thought you couldn't see them in the UK.

Re: C'mon City
Watched it on Sky, bit my nails right down.
Only City could come up with that way to become champions. Not just once but twice.
All I want now is RM to win the CL

As much as I dislike the idea of UEFA darlings Real winning it, I desperately hope that they do.

Re: C'mon City
have to agree about real Madrid. looking back through the posts. Why does he pick Ferna who can play right back and put him in as centre back and pick stones a centreback and play him at right back? agree zinky played well when he came on was cursing jesus throughout the game and mahrez . I was hoping Grealish on Mahrez off and they brought on Sterling. Thats when i thought wed blown it. I had this vision of a guilt edged chance and sterling stuffing it up. Godogan on by this point im spewing as much as i love gundogan we need attackers in this game. what do i know?? Sterling absolute peach of a cross to set up ist goal for gundy then Gundy getting the 3rd Wow! agreed loved Milners face...... But please City ive reached 63 yrs old now i dont know how long the ticker will last.. Cant we just be boring and do things easy without all the drama?

I was wiped out after the game - didn't do a damn thing all afternoon. Really thought we'd blown it until those glorious 6 minutes and 3 goals.

Re: C'mon City
Our win v Gillingham in 1999 taught me never to stop watching until the final whistle, no matter how desperate it looks. I left early, in misery on that day and didn’t find out the result til I got home.

Re: C'mon City
I would never ever switch off because i'm city through and through. It takes a while but the pain eases. The stress at the time is tough though. The wife has to be up early at 5.00am (this particular morning) The game and trophy lift means its 02.00am before i tiptoe to bed (wife been in bed 3 hours already) and i'm supposed to stay quiet and not react to watching that!!!!
The cushion i was shouting into and beating up for 75mins took a pounding!!! Getting angrier by the minute with every misplaced pass and villa wasting time antics. listening to commentators/pundits having their liverpool love in. Then the ecstacy of realising that even in the depths of dispair sometimes the footballing gods do shine on city. Just where were they in Madrid when we needed a bit of luck or the 2 league games v spuddies and dippers?? CTID which if they carry on the way they do maybe sooner rather than later.
Maybe i need to get a dog Lee!!!

Re: C'mon City
I must have looked so disappointed and angry when we were 2 0 down that my wife who hates football (but says she supports West Ham) came in to the front room to give me moral support. Within 2 mins of her arriving We scored.
Now she tells everyone that the only reason we won was because of the luck she brought with her.
Maybe I should get her a season ticket

Re: C'mon City
I was at the game. We were atrocious and Pep cocked up by playing Fernandinho.
When we went 2-0 down, some diehards started to leave. I was tempted but I said I needed to stay and take my punishment.
That first goal lifted our spirits. We knew Liverpool would win so we had to keep going. I was hoarse by the end but what a fantastic day.
Hope we make it easier on our hearts next year.
