Bristol City vs City
Pep says it would unfair to drop Gundogan, Bernardo or Mangala. Shit.
Bravo
Walker, Stones, Mangala, Zinky
Gundogan
Bernardo, Kev, Dave, Sane
Aguero
Don't like a team with Gundogan and Bernardo in it.

Bristol will be well up for this. They are at home and know that just one goal would put them on the front foot. I don't see this being an easy game, so it all rather depends on whether Pep wants to chance a cup final to concentrate on the more prestigious FA Cup. I don't think he will. I'd be expecting to see a very strong bench with many game changers in it.
For the record, I think Gundogan will be okay, it's Bernardo I'm concerned about, he's not been ripping up any trees. In fact, he looks like he'd have trouble pulling up a dandelion right now.

Re: Bristol City vs City
Is Vinny still injured? Cant Danilo play at CB? Please not Mongala. I dont think we should take any chances at the back so Id play our strongest line up there.
In fact its a Wembley appearance at stake so we should be putting out a strong team or at least have a very strong bench

Pep said he’s out a strong team out but it would be unfair on the three stooges to leave them out

Think Silva and Gundogan are good enough to play. Only Mangala dodgy. Hardly the three stooges.

Mangala shouldn't be allowed to wear a City shirt again....complete liability.

Re: Bristol City vs City
so team for tonight?
I'll go for 3 at the back, change it up a tad..
Bravo
Danilo Stones Mangala
Gundongan
Diaz Bernard KDB Silva Sane
Aguero
Should be able to blast them for a couple of goals early, and should break their spirits, then bring off guys to rest..

Re: Bristol City vs City
he's said he wants the 3 amigos to keep faith, with brave in also, thinking dont' change the entire team, with Silva, KDB, Sane, Sergio we should be strong enough up top to keep Bristol pushed back anyways.

Re: Bristol City vs City
Danilo, Stones and Mangala as a back 3, now that scares the living shit out of me. Surely we have to play with 4 back there.

Re: Bristol City vs City
No game until the weekend so we should be going as strong as possible.
Walker and Zinky as FBs for me. If he plays Kev and Dave, I think we win.

Re: Bristol City vs City
I was trying to accomodate all the chaps in the middle.
If he rests Ferdy for Gundongan.. could even play Bernard up top and have Aguero from the bench if needed then?
I'd rather have Mangala as left of a 3, than left of a 2 at the back...

I'd rather he was left back in the changing room
Bravo Danilo & Mongala would be worrying to say the least

Re: Bristol City vs City
Pep has said he will be playing Mangler,Gundogan & the Hologram, let’s hope he learnt from playing a weakened side against the rags last season and plays a strong side to get to Wembley
We don’t play again until the FA cup game at Cardiff on Sunday so there should be no need for much rotation.
Bit of a shiitty day down here in Bristol with the rain & wind ,so playing surface will be greasy so I hope the quality of David Silva & DeBruyne are on from the start to make sure Bristol don’t get a sniff of Wembley
Hologram
Walker Otamendi Mangler Zinchenko
Fernandinho Gundogan
Sane DeBruyne Silva
Aguero

Only Sterling in the bench that can really make things happen

Re: Bristol City vs City
Will be intresting to see what Bernardo can do on the right. My guess is that Sterling will be brought on in the 2nd half, but hope I'm wrong and we are 4 up by that point. Gut feeling says this will be a really tough game though.

nudge allowed on Fernandinho and then he gets a yellow for a slight grab.
Lets see what happens when the same happens in their box.

woeful shot from Fernandinho. we're pedestrian at times. bernardo isn't even trying to take his man on. why is he on the pitch then?

Re: Bristol City vs City
Utter fucking shite.
Bernardo is absolute garbage!
Looks like they are half a second behind the play tonight. 5 or 6 times, Silva, KDB, Bernardo, Stones, Walker, Ota have had the ball nicked off them whilst on the ball.
Utter crap. Get Sterling on this pitch and get the owl looking Portuguese player off it. Navas in disguise.

Re: Bristol City vs City
We have to step up the energy significantly. Not so much the pace of attack, but the energy ON THE BALL.
We look very lethargic, waiting for things to happen ahead.
Got a lucky break there, so maybe now is the time to get Sterling on, as they'll look to come at us, which may leave more space for pace up front...can't see it, as Pep likes to give the likes of Gundo, Bernardo etc at least 75 mins.
I'd get Sterling on at HT. Get this game put to bed and get the likes of Silva, Sergio and KDB off the pitch.

Thing is they cant sit back now so will be more space for our attackers in the 2nd half, but lets hope they dont get too many on target during their counter attacks .....
