I've been wondering why on earth Anelka would want to play for that Chinese team. Guess I know now - they have offered him 8 million/year.
It's always about money really because he could have gone to QPR or Villa for that matter to play Prem. footie but obviously wouldn't make this sort of dosh. It's always been about the money. If somebody offered to double my salary, I'd jump at the chance - as long as it wasn't Wal-Mart.
Excellent post and responses about the FFP - and sensible article in the Sun about "Buying titles" - all a load of rubbish.
