Why do these planks never shut up?
Emmanuel Adebayor believes Manchester City may falter in title race as Tottenham keep up the pressure
Emmanuel Adebayor has declared that Tottenham Hotspur are still in the race to
win the title and has cast doubt on Manchester City’s ability to last the
pace as the Premier League leaders.

The 27-year-old striker is on a season-long loan from City to Tottenham
— and is highly unlikely to return to the club that paid £25million for him
in 2009 — but he suggested that Roberto Mancini’s squad might not be as
strong as everyone believes.
“Of course Tottenham are still in the race,” he said ahead of Tuesday’s visit
to Norwich City. “Man City are top at the moment, but they have to play all
the big clubs. We are only halfway through. Can they keep playing the way
they are playing until the end of the season? We will have to wait and see.
“They have Kolo and Yaya Touré going to the African Cup of Nations, so we have
to see how they cope. They have got a great team and great spirit and are
playing great football. But if they get a couple of injuries as well, it
could be difficult.”
Adebayor has been a key signing for Spurs manager Harry Redknapp and has
transformed the team’s prospects since his arrival at the end of August,
with City subsidising a large chunk of his £170,000-a-week wages. He scored
in last week’s 1-1 draw against Chelsea, an encounter which confirmed
Spurs’s top-four credentials and left them in third place — their highest
position going into Christmas since 1984.
“This club is going forward and we are improving,” Adebayor said. “So we just
have to keep our heads up, keep enjoying ourselves. We have got to play
Norwich now and we have to do everything we can to win that game.
"You could never write off Chelsea. They have got good players, they are up
there. Even when they were 1-0 down they still kept the ball, passing it
around. You can tell that this team has got experience. Chelsea are capable
of anything until the end of this season. From now on they could even go
unbeaten, so they could be champions.”

The guy's nothing but an over-rated prima-dona. Plays when he wants to, puts in 10 decent performances a season regardless of who he plays for and having half of his wages paid by City, he comes out with this mercenary drivel.
Take a look at the table Ade.......only Chelsea could beat us and that was against 10 men and a ref on their side!
We've got Chelsea, United, Spurs and Liverpool at home still to come - unbeaten at home in 2011....i'm sure they will all be confident of getting a result at The Etihad and as for Spurs in 2012:

Re: Why do these planks never shut up?
Wary as I still am to the spectre of Cityitis, the big thing that I keep forgetting about is the fact that the chasing pack are still hot on one another' heels too and that is going to make for dropped points for everyone in some way.
Just need to keep doing what we've done so far - focused, methodically and patiently blowing teams away with unplayable, scintillating, movement effort and vision .

Re: Why do these planks never shut up?
I suppose he has to say the things he has, not just because he is a bitter little shit as he is missing out on a fantastic season with us, but Arry will have written all their scripts (with the help of baconface as he bends over for him again) for when they are asked the inevitable question about City's title charge.
If he had a little bit more class Ade wouldn't be hated everywhere he went, but some footballers just hav'nt got any......we have had a few of them over the last few years.

Could we not re-call him as we've an "injury crisis" at the club, then leave him on the bench?
Don't give 2 shits what he got to say anyway in all honesty.
