I know someone lazier than Yaya!
His name is Samir Nasri.
This lad needs to shape up pretty damn quick imo. I honestly felt sorry for the other 9 on the pitch yesterday, as it really looked as though he couldn't be arsed. He never supported Aguero at all, kept giving the ball away, never chased back when he gave the ball away, never tackled, etc, etc, etc.
The fastest i saw him run all afternoon was when the board with his number came up.
I'm sorry if people disagree but this lad came with a big price tag but on the back of PL experience at the highest level. So far though, imo he's been a major let down.

I had the same thoughts yesterday Den, he seems to have no pace or a turn of speed, and his passing was no the best. Certainly not the player i thought we'd bought.
I think he looks slightly better if Clichy is supporting him down the left, but i think he is being played out of position as well which cant help.

Re: I know someone lazier than Yaya!
I expected him to run himself into the ground when we went down to 10 men, as all the others did Si. Yet he pronced around on his tippy toes like Bambi on fuckin Ice, it really made my blood boil.
Aguero's been disappointing of late, but yesterday he went up a million percent with me, he ran until his little legs could run no more. I was well impressed.
I can accept losing to anyone as long as you go down fighting, but Nasri did sweet FA throughout the game when we needed him most.

Agreed Den, Milner was immense as well and never stopped running, maybe he will learn this year what is expected of him, as Johnno is slowly learning.

overall i have been disappointed with samir. when we are steamrolling teams, he is great but when we need him to put in a shift, he let's us down.
i would rather have had one of the young lads on instead of him.
at the moment, i'm glad i didn't get his name on the back of my shirt when he signed!

Well he best learn quick Si.
Milner's an 100% guy, so i expected what we got from him yesterday.

I think we will be playing in last season mode without Kompany. Very defensive and looking to counter.
At least Barry is back, so will be him and NDJ as DMs. It's weather we move Richards inside or risk Savic?

To be fair to Savic, he's not been too bad this season and his only bad game was against QPR. Maybe we could play the back 5 like we did yesterday, so Savic is protected by Lescott and Zaba and have Richards and Clichy as wing backs.
But back on topic, Nasri has been very disappointing on the whole. The fact he looked fresh when he went off said it all for me. Everyone else bust a gut to keep us in it. Milner was as impressive as I'd expected and Aguero showed us he's not here for the money, he was immense and well deserved the MOTM.

Re: I know someone lazier than Yaya!
Nasri has been a dissappointment for me too, especially given his reputation when he joined us and his excellent debut against tottenham. In his defence yesterday i think if we had had another striker fit he would not have been in the team, given the fact he missed the midweek Liverpool game with a virus, He clearly did not look 100% fit yesterday. He also took a whack from Evra just before he came off. i am not making excuses for him, but we seem pretty quick just recently to criticise for any mistake. just last week a lot were sayng yaya going to acon would be good for us as Bobby would have to play Nige. now all of a sudden we badly miss yaya and Nige was crap yesterday. Nige just needs games 2nd half he appeared to be a bit more like his old self. I thought pants did well considering the game time he's had and the fact he will hardly be too familiar with english game. Saved a pen stopped a good skimmer in the 2nd half and even got his head on the 93rd min corner!!!! Just my opinion but i do think in some cases we are quick to judge, myself included.

And?
He was deemed fit enough to start, so stop giving excuses.

I think some are being harsher than necessary on Nasri, but using the 'flu is not much of an excuse. How about all the other games in which he's gone missing?
