GLEN JOHNSON.....WHAT A JOKE!
Recorded it on my Iphone from the tv. check out this perfectly good tackle WHEN ITS UPLOADED. The ref was fucking awful again and only re-enforced how fucking limp-risted the FA are.

Re: GLEN JOHNSON.....WHAT A JOKE!
letter of the law and interpretation. what the fuck is all that about?
there are some things the ref has no choice about.
you take your shirt off - you get booked.
you kick/throw the ball away to waste time - you get booked.
there is no inbetween. so when a liverpool player commits a foul, picks the ball up, walks away, then throws it away from the city player - you'd expect the yellow card. like fuck.
another ref wanting to be in the limelight - this time for not giving cards when he should have.
it only took nasri's retaliation for carragher to get booked for giving him a sly kick.
what a load of old bollocks footy can be.

soon enough a team has to challenge the FA because they are doing fook all good.
go to court to get a ban overturned. show the giggs tackle ion sergio and say to the court that that should have also been a red card. both reds or none at all.
fook off FA

Re: GLEN JOHNSON.....WHAT A JOKE!
sorry.....BUT ALL WE WILL HEAR ABOUT FOR THE NEXT 3 DAYS WILL BE ABOUT THE COMPARISONS.....it was an awful tackle, not from the side...like Kompany's...but from behind,,,and slightly caught the player........this is a disgraceful piece of refereeing inconsistency...AGAIN.
Apart from that....we were fuckin shite all night..Nasri, Johnson, Aguero, Balotelli, Kolorov....terrible showing.
If we do not not buy 2 players in this window....i fear for the worst,,,as without Silva, we look awful...on tonight's effort.
The only thing in our favour is that with Silva back...and others fit.....2 goals may be easy to come by...as Liverpool are pretty inept.

Gerard's comments post match were also laughable when asked if he thought Johnson's tackle was two footed. 'Never' and suggested Mancini was being hypocritical in his reaction to Rooney's achievement on Sunday.

Ironic that Kompany's red upheld because of a 'letter of the law approach' in the interests of 'consistency', and 24 hours later an almost identical, if not worse, tackle goes away unpunished.
So now we've got no common sense in refereeing, or consistency. Great. FA need to wake the fuck up.

Re: GLEN JOHNSON.....WHAT A JOKE!
Since when have the FA been consistent? They consider themselves to be fire proof, their arrogance would be laughable if it was not affecting others who earn a living and entertain.
Kompany's livelihood has been affected and yet people like Lampard,Giggs and Johnson are given the green light to carry on because of the inept actions of a bunch of fools who have not even got the guts to identify themselves.
As for Rooney, does he not realise that his actions on Sunday were all over the TV screens?,and yet he still denies that he did anything to influence the ref.
He may earn a lot of money, but his IQ is still lower than my 3year old granddaughter.

Re: GLEN JOHNSON.....WHAT A JOKE!
Tbh, having seen the tackle again this morning, i don't think it's a good one at all by Johnson. Imo that was quite simply a 2 footed lunge and 10 times worse than Vinnys, how the ref can't see this i beyond me.
I think it only goes to prove that if you don't chase after the ref (a la Shrek), then you'll get away with it, as i'm convinced that's what'll have happened with Vince.

I'd go as far as to say Johnsons definitely warrented a yellow card in "normal" football.. before all this soft arsed red-card malarkey. Therefore Vinny's shouldn't have even been a free kick..

Re: GLEN JOHNSON.....WHAT A JOKE!
Oh the irony of it!
2 challenges that could have been straight red
Johnson's on Lescott and Carroll's on Clichy! if we'd made a fuss we might of got something, but, as we showed some class, as we don't do that ( unlike half the UTD team) we go nowt. we go nowt all night, as Mancini said, a draw would have been fair.
I hope we get Silva and Dzeko 100% soon, and stuff them in the return leg, an early goal and they'll cave in like they almost did lastnight, but for some terrible finishing and no luck, we'd have won.
Shooting practice for all
Micah at CB Zabba at RB, has to be, Savic, not quite ready.
we should hijack the CAhill move, £10mill and a bette deal, do it Mancini, do it now!!!

Re: GLEN JOHNSON.....WHAT A JOKE!
I have contacted the FA for some clarification of the 'actual laws' they referee a game by, what 'interpretation of a tackle' actually means, and cited Glen Johnson as an example of the hypocrisy and inconsistency of referee's.
Fifa has completely different guidelines, and uefa's rules contradict both.
I'll get back to you when they reply, so don't hold your breath.

APPENDIX B
CLUB MARKING OF REFEREES
Both teams are required to award the Referee a mark in all matches on a scale 1-100 based on the
following guide:
Date: Competition:
Home Club Away Club
V
Referee:
Overall control and decision making:
The mark must reflect the Referee’s overall Level of control, accuracy of decision making and
management of and communication with players. When deciding on a mark consideration
should be given to such aspects of the Referee’s performance as: impartiality, confidence, fitness,
positioning, signalling, use of advantage, handling of major incidents.
A mark between 91-100 would be regarded as ‘excellent’
A mark between 71 and 80 would represent the standard expected
Our club awards an overall mark of out of 100
When awarding a mark of 60 or less, an explanation must be provided in the box below to the
League/Competition with comments which could help the Referee improve future performances
-------------------------------------------------
I'd love to be able to fill these forms in after games.
"A mark between 71-80 would represent the standard expected" High expectations then from the governing body
