last away league goal from open play....

can anyone remember when we last scored an away goal from open play?

Dzeko scoring a header at Wigan rings a bell, don't know if that was the last one though Dawg as it seem ages ago .

There were two goals in open play against Liverpool in the CC semi at Anfailed. NDJ scored a 25 yard scorcher and Dzeko got a tap-in from a cross. Both after the Wigan game. Between then and yesterday we only played one away game and we didn't score at all.

In that case, Den was right, it was Dzeko's header against the pielanders. And it was a month ago on a very chilly Monday night.

To be fair it's because most of the sides we've come up against away from home since them are going out and playing very similar games against us - completely congesting the final third of their half.

Makes it difficult to score, and Mario is the only one really who will ping them in from outside the area. What worries me more is that we haven't scored as many from set pieces, given the amount of corners and free kicks we get against sides putting 10/11 men behind the ball, we really should be capitalising on more set pieces than we have done.

We've had 32 corners in our past four league away games and only scored from one of them. (yes, yes I did count them all!)
