PL 11/12 Team of The Season

Who would be your team of the season so far with 3 games to go?

Rule 1 - 4-4-2 formation only.

Rule 2 - the players must have completed 20 PL starts this season.

Kompany
Collocini
Evra

Cabaye

Tiote
Valencia

Aguero
RVP

Walker blueboy?! Yeah he had a few good games but even my Spud mate thinks he is not all that!

Valencia? Aren't Tiote and Cabaye big fish in a little pond?

And Evra has not ben as constant as last year... I wouldn't have any player from LongBall and Crosses Yernited!

how many games has vince actually played and wasn't he pretty ordinary early on in the season?

no-one gives lezza the credit he deserves.

Fair enough...rather than criticise....get your fingers working and post us your wisdom PGsus.

I looked at the season as a whole and not many players, if any, had been consistently brilliant all season. Most had good parts of the season.

Evra....apart from Baines now and then and Clichy just lately.....i really couldn't think of another that had been more influential for their team over a season.

Valencia has been pretty consistent when he has played and for me, again, has influenced United to where they are now in the league.

As for Cabaye and Tiote .....not sure how you could possibly argue with these two players being possible inclusions.....it's not all about the Sky 4. These players have been a massive part in Newcastle being where they are....and from midfield. I'd put Ben Arfa in but he has only recently been included in the team for the past 3 months.

Walker - RB was my one area i was unsure of. Richards started well, but has been in and out of the team. Walker hasn't been the best of late...but over the season...he has been pretty consistent. Cannot think of another RB that has that consistency over the season - you decide and name another.

You two stop your fucking whining and post your 'perfect' teams then. Lezza is no Kompany. Just because he has improved....he hasn't been as good or as important as Vinny IMO.

Right, here's mine. I know a couple have been in and out of their teams but that's rotational systems and injuries for you .

seriously, lezza was far better than vince early on, vince got banned and injured, so he has missed tons of games. why not include vidic since he was great to start with before he got injured?

Although i've got Vermaelen in, so i guess i can't talk .

cisse has scored something like 10 goals at a goal a game. he's just about worth it

I see some have put Ben Arfa in their team.....i would have, but when you look at the season as a whole - he hardly played until Feb time...so his form is difficult to assess for a whole season.

If we were to pick a team on current form alone, then you'd be able to pick something like:

Zabaletta
Vinny
Collocini
Clichy

Ben Arfa
Cabaye
Tiote
Nasri

Aguero
Tevez

last 3 games only?

maybe you need some criteria like played min 15 games. if we only look at the first 15 games, then silva was the best player in the PL by miles. but we have to look over a longer time period and see how many matches and injuries can take their toll on a player.

cisse has only played something like 9 matches but has scored 10 goals or so.

look at demba ba. he was on fire, up there near the top scorers in the league but he has dropped away since february. who is to say that wouldn't happen to cisse or ben arfa if they had to play 30+ games?

If we are going to pick a team.....then the players ideally should have played at least 20 PL games this season, as you said.....Cisse would easily be in if it was only the final 3 months.
